So no news for three days? Or is it end of all the admission offers? Complete 3/12 and the little bit of hope remaining in me has driven me crazy since the last wave of calls.

Seems like they have a sizable number of calls to make, based on that. They're really making us sweat this one out... Even a Twitter update about when we can expect movement would be really helpful!

Yeah I just saw two reports of acceptance on LSN today. The admission officers are perhaps still making calls but not updating them on twitter.sneakyleo wrote:My reading of their last tweet about it is that there are more calls to go out: "No more calls this evening. We're expecting quite a few files to return from review this week, so stay tuned!" (from 4/7)skeenen wrote:So no news for three days? Or is it end of all the admission offers? Edit - But that includes some admin staff and some people who deferred. Not sure how many are in those 2 categories.
Even if it includes those, we have to assume there are some admits who are not in the group.
Assuming the admit roughly 250, we're looking at 20-30 more admits, max?

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
was reading through last year's thread, and on april 10th 2014 there was 231 people in the FB group. so i'd say we're basically at the same point in the cycle. unfortunately, after april 10th 2014 there were only WL and rejections left for the pending applicants.
i also came across these that i thought would be good to share (forgot to take note of users who wrote them; sorry):
info on the WL:
"I'd be interested to know how many WL people are planning to ride the WL and for how long. The email said there are an average of 10 admits from the WL and the range is anywhere between 0-20. It also mentioned there being less than 100 people on the WL per cycle."
info on the FB re. class of 2016
"The final size of a previous class year's FB group is around 260"

Yeah, I think it's looking pretty grim for those of us who are still waiting (perhaps unless you're a super late completer and they haven't gotten to you yet)...

Though hope is slim, best luck to everyone still pending!

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
This counter to this theory would be that YLS admitted students basically up until the start of Admitted Students Weekend, which began on April 10th last year but doesn't start until April 16th this year. That would suggest that there will be more admits between now and Wednesday (I think the admits came Monday/Tuesday last time).qwertyTLS wrote:was reading through last year's thread, and on april 10th 2014 there was 231 people in the FB group. so i'd say we're basically at the same point in the cycle. unfortunately, after april 10th 2014 there were only WL and rejections left for the pending applicants.

That doesn't explain the FB group number though. The only thing I can say is that if the final number was 260, we will have some running room.
I'm not giving up hope until Wednesday!

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
please correct me if i'm wrong, but the last 'group' of acceptances this week were mostly late submitters, right?
I hope that means they haven't gotten to the stack of 11's in the 'maybe' pile, and once the last set of files are returned, they'll be able to admit those 12s, and then depending on how many spots they have left, start to admit the lower 11s and higher 10s (pure speculation/optimism)

This was my thinking. I think theyre pushed back about 5-7 days from last year’s timeline based on the admitted students preview.qwertyTLS wrote:please correct me if i'm wrong, but the last 'group' of acceptances this week were mostly late submitters, right?

That sounds plausible to me, but we'll see. Wouldn't be surprised if we see movement today.Indy16 wrote:This was my thinking. Seems to me the fact that it's been quiet might suggest they are going over the maybes now. If there were 12s coming back, they'd just get the file back and make the call right?LetsGoMets wrote:That sounds plausible to me, but we'll see.
