thanks, tigerlily!
and lc, that's an interesting theory. I guess we'll have to see if they end up accepting some DLS nevers in march or something, haha.

Fingers crossed for the DLS nevers. Preferably sooner rather than later. It'd really suck if one thing that comes out of the drop in 170+ applicants is that schools get even more shady and insecure wrt YP.xylocarp wrote:thanks, tigerlily!

UR 12/9 here, not 3 months of course but was starting to wonder. I guess I should just be patient
I'm an unknown anyway as an international. Keep on hoping...

I think I'm on the fast track to a WL/ding because I only went complete about 2 weeks ago, and I'm UR2 as of today

My guess is that it's good news. There's no reason for them to WL/ding this early, and from past cycles it looks like the WL notices didn't go out until March/April.secadc11 wrote:I think I'm on the fast track to a WL/ding because I only went complete about 2 weeks ago, and I'm UR2 as of today

Lol I'm in the same position as you. I'm a little confused. How many UR date changes are there supposed to be? 2 or 3?secadc11 wrote:I think I'm on the fast track to a WL/ding because I only went complete about 2 weeks ago, and I'm UR2 as of today

There's no fixed number of date changes. Some people reported only 1, others 2, yet others 3.secadc11 wrote:I hope you are right Dipper!Dipper wrote:My guess is that it's good news. FWIW I went UR2 three days after UR1 and was admitted on the first wave in December.

Starting to wonder... At what point can you e-mail the school and ask if one's application is still being loved and read by all, or did it fall through the cracks somewhere?fireflies wrote:UR 11/10Dulman wrote:UR 11/13. Same position over here as well. My guess is it would only be good news; I imagine they are more likely to do two reviews in as many weeks of the applicants they like. But then again, I have no prior experience to base this off of.YeezusPiece wrote:Lol I'm in the same position as you. I'm a little confused. Does anybody know when will the invitations for scholarships such as AnBryce coming out? Or what time of the year do they normally come out according to past years?

From NYU's Root scholarship page: "Those who are selected for interviews will be notified between February and mid-March. Interviews will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2015". I guess the AnBryce timeline is similar since the interviews are on March 25th.luo wrote:Does anybody know when will the invitations for scholarships such as AnBryce coming out? Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
I was admitted on January 7th and got an invitation to apply for RTK on the 9th without any prompting from my end. The diversity committee for RTK emailed me and I think they liked the fact that I am an international student from a low income household. I had expressed some PI interest in my PS. If I apply and get interviewed, the interview will take place on march 28th.luo wrote:Does anybody know when will the invitations for scholarships such as AnBryce coming out? Hope that helps!

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
So sorry if I keep asking the same questions as everyone else, but should I be worried knowing that another student with my exact stats who turned in her app 2 days earlier than me (I submitted January 4th) got accepted two weeks ago?
I asked a law school admin consultant this two weeks ago and he had said it wasn't something to worry about but 2 weeks later, I'm still in UR (not even UR2). The discrepancy between her app and mine is scaring me

It makes no sense to worry about that now. Maybe read a book / run/ watch T.V. You cant do anything about it now.
It's probably nothing to worry about. Don't drive yourself crazy.

Try to calm your nerves. An admissions office isn't a monolith, some folks work faster than others. Did you also think about the most basic explanation, as in where are you two relative to each other in the alphabet?dlrkgml wrote:So sorry if I keep asking the same questions as everyone else, but should I be worried knowing that another student with my exact stats who turned in her app 2 days earlier than me (I submitted January 4th) got accepted two weeks ago?

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
I am really confused, she submitted January 2nd right (2 days before the 4th) and was accepted on January 4th (2 weeks ago). And you asked a consultant about this two weeks ago? (i.e., when you both had just applied?)dlrkgml wrote:So sorry if I keep asking the same questions as everyone else, but should I be worried knowing that another student with my exact stats who turned in her app 2 days earlier than me (I submitted January 4th) got accepted two weeks ago?

Either way, I would not look into not getting accepted yet until at least February - especially if you only submitted a couple weeks ago.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Yeah, I wouldn't worry if only because I'm pretty sure what happened here is an LSN fuckup (i.e. she actually submitted 12/2, etc). That kind of turnaround just seems unlikely.Auxilio wrote:I am really confused, she submitted January 2nd right (2 days before the 4th) and was accepted on January 4th (2 weeks ago). Mine still says "Application Under Review" (it's been like that since 1/9 or so) but now the date underneath says 1/18/2015.
Does that mean second review aka progress?

Also noteworthy is that they're working on a Sunday. I assumed they all took the weekends off. Maybe that's a dumb assumption.
