How many people come off the waitlist, usually? How late into the cycle are people taken off the waitlist? What can one do increase their chances of getting accepted off the waitlist?

If those are your stats. Some of the schools you applied to are very strange..morningstar wrote:Got my scholarship letter today. Chancellor's @ 105k, plus a 5k one time award.

Still no scholarship letter. I hate the mail in my area, how does it take a week to get me something sent from 6 hours away?

Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
Ugh, yes, they are. And yes, I know. I wasn't confident at all that I was going to get a good LSAT score, and I didn't know about the LSDAS GPA calculation at the time, I thought they were going to take only my current UG GPA, and not figure in the 100 semester hours at 4.0, so I expected my GPA to be too low to aim for the top. My adviser fortunately set me straight and I realized that the top schools were much closer than I expected.Dipper wrote:+1 +eyebrow raiseWinston1984 wrote:If those are your stats. But having said that, I also still had a pretty extensive backup plan that included applying to my ideal T14's plus those that I thought could get me good scholarship money to negotiate with...and also some T50's with the same setup (the ones I wanted plus the ones I thought I could negotiate with).
I'm not saying it was a WISE plan, but what are you gonna do.

Decision = accept/deny? or offer?monkeyKT wrote:How fast would you all say for the decision to be mailed to the west coast?
Decision accept via Fed Ex within two days (got mine on a Saturday, too). Deny/WL as well as scholarship offers, appear to be via USPS, and my guess would be a week.

Has anyone who had their status changed to "decision mailed" yesterday (3/6) gotten a notification from FedEx?

Received scholarship offer last night. Pretty solid. Too bad we can't negotiate.

Not yet. Any idea if they normally send batches mixed or batches for each category (accept, WL, deny)?

I have no idea. I'd think they'd send mixed batches though?rebecker wrote:FLC2018 wrote:Has anyone who had their status changed to "decision mailed" yesterday (3/6) gotten a notification from FedEx?

95 here too. Great, but will probably have to be withdrawing now.
