I think the LSAC fee waiver automatically shows up when you apply to schools for those that accept them. Notable exceptions: Yale, etc. (but the exceptions usually allow you to apply to them directly for need-based fee waiver)hereisonehand wrote:
Can anyone confirm (or dis-confirm) this? I have an LSAC fee waiver as well (six months of unemployment and a spouse whose in law school making no money, ftw!).
But you only get four CAS Law School Reports (source: http://www.lsac.org/jd/lsat/fee-waivers) so if you apply to more than four schools (I presume you will), you'll have to pay the $25 CAS fee for each.

This, except also no LSAT score.... I'm gonna really hate not being able to apply until the end of october.
Im not really phased by it at all. All I care about is my LSAT score at this point. Don't care about my PS-DS either. Truth be told if I achieved my desired score, Im sure could finish up my DS-PS in a day due to excitement

Besides, I foresee myself riding the WL anyways…

Worth the increased chances, $$, and $$ through more negotiation too.hereisonehand wrote:Ah, excellent. And yeah I'll be applying broadly, so I'll still be shelling out a couple hundred bucks probably, but hey, that beats paying even more.blueberrycrumble wrote:I think the LSAC fee waiver automatically shows up when you apply to schools for those that accept them. I'm starting to get a feeling that my PS sucks now... People in this thread are spending more time conceiving ideas for their PSs than I spent writing mine. I'd be down to swap statements with anyone that's finished though.

Or at least that's how my first draft went... anyone else?

Bumping this to have it in the OPToby Ziegler wrote:This may be beneficial to add to the OP. I know it's from last years applicants, but scoobers did a great job and I think most of it will still hold true this cycle:

Poll added! These will def be biased results if we were looking for the flaw in an LSAT argument haha

I feel the same way. Asking for LORs is my least favorite part about all of this.smccgrey wrote:Yep good call. I'm too tired to do LSAT tomorrow, but I think I'll head to the library to work on the PS and finally email profs about LORs. Seems like a good way to encourage productivity.
Both profs aren't in the same city anymore - I would visit in person if I could.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
For some reason I was terrified of asking for LORs (something about it felt entitled. "Can you write a page or two about how great I am?"), but my fears were mostly unfounded and both of my profs got my letters in within two weeks even though I gave them 4 months. It's not as bad as you think it's going to be, and you're going to have to do it at some point. May as well rip the band-aid off earlier rather than later - it would suck to be waiting for LORs with everything else in your app ready to go.

Lol I'm currently putting this off by scrubbing my kitchen and doing laundry. Procrasticleaning.
That is a fantastic term. I procrasticleaned quite a bit yesterday. I've secured one LoR but am nervous about the second (same deal, three years out and far away) and so am putting it off. Right now I'm procrastiwatching sports.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
