Nothing in the mail and I live in SD. I'm guessing it will arrive tomorrow or Saturday.

I emailed them and guess it is coming in the mail in the next 7 to 10 business days....and that USC cannot release decisions via telephone or email. SO it is definitely a waitlist or a din

definitely not a waitlist... if it were, the status would say "waitlist" instead of "decision finalized". All signs point to a ding via snail maildesichhori wrote:I emailed them and guess it is coming in the mail in the next 7 to 10 business days....and that USC cannot release decisions via telephone or email. I'm expecting dings all around in this wave. The way to really test this theory: does anyone who got decision finalized 3/12 have competitive numbers for USC? This means GPA of 3.7 or higher AND LSAT of 167 or higher? If there are people like this in the 3/12 finalized group, no need to panic yet. If there aren't, as I suspect, then we all know what it mean.

Looking at the LSN graph for this cycle, it seems 166 with any reasonable GPA is in (USC looks to be shooting hard for a 166 median at minimum). With a 165, it looks like they admit if you have 3.75 or above. LSATs below that seem to require 3.9ish to get in, according to daat LSN graph.Moonlight wrote:I have a 3.78 gpa. Interesting. To be honest, I'm kind of hoping they deny me due to personal reasons. If they accept me, then my decisions process becomes so much harder.

Even if we all got rejected, guys, know that it is ok. It just means it wasn't meant to be. Something good will happen in picking another school. Just keep working towards your goal.

Anyone else been stuck on CR2 since 2/19? My app was moving along pretty smooth then it got hung up here after an earlier CR2 date. Visited school several times its my top choice, 166,3.3ish mixed URM and wrote a diversity statement. Any hope for me still ? I really want USC soo bad

Right there with you. CR2 as of 2/19, no movement since. Very similar stats and USC is basically my top choice as well. Really hope we get in.karmaman wrote:Anyone else been stuck on CR2 since 2/19? Hopefuly OL, when did you go complete? I went in mid January, after December LSAT results. Well we haven't got dinged yet so I'll take it as a good sign! Fingers crossed

I submitted pretty late, like 1/27 or 1/28 and went complete very soon after. Then I jumped straight to CR2 on 2/19.karmaman wrote:Hopefuly OL, when did you go complete? Hmmm, thats weird, I went through CR1 for about 2 weeks, then CR2 for 2 weeks, then changed to CR2 , 2/19 and been stuck since. I wonder if it makes a difference how/when you got there or just now that were both there were on par with eachother...i hate this wait, this is my 3rd year in applying and I mentioned that, so hopefully they feel pity on me and admit me
Ive gotten $$$ from similarly ranked Emory and GW already, but USC like other CA schools, seem to like the higher GPA's.

Re: USC c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Karmaman and hopeful0L (& everyone else who's still at CR2), I'd have a lot of hope still. USC may be waiting on withdrawals from applicants who will end up at UCLA, etc. If you have competitive stats, I'd be expecting an admit or WL. 166/3.75+ seems to be the magical combo! and that's what I'm at. Applied 2/01, complete 2/03, cr1 very shortly thereafter, and then cr2 twice (stuck at 2/24). The wait is annoying and scary, as this was (is?) a top choice for me, and I have target #s.
So basically, if you're still on CR1/2, don't lose hope yet. They're holding out on ya for a reason.

They are waiting for more withdrawals so they can beef up their acceptance rate.

Re: USC c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Hmmm...don't think that's how it works. Once someone applies they are an applicant, whether they withdraw or not.zman wrote:They are waiting for more withdrawals so they can beef up their acceptance rate.
So:
admits/applicants = acceptance rate
"applicants" is not affected by withdrawals
this means "admits" will have the same effect on acceptance rate whether you do it now or later
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
