Is anyone interested in starting a new thread for those of us who are on the wait list for the Class of 2017? Maybe it will make the next several weeks a bit more bearable.

Who did you (or anyone else) address their letter to, out of curiosity?BentleyLittle wrote:I would contact them now. I asked them to reconsider giving me no aid. The person responded and informed me that they would revisit offers after April 1st "for students that have expressed a continued interest in GW".waiting_game wrote:lol. that IS one ridiculously beautiful acceptance packet. sounds like we're in the exact same boat Nuj. do you think you'll contact them about schollys this week or wait a bit longer? i was thinking of waiting till Apr 1st (since there'll hopefully be money to redistribute) or maybe bringing it up with some current students at preview day... anyone have thoughts/advice concerning this?Nuj wrote:Got my envelope today, it looks super ostentatious. No scholly info inside though, sounds like I'm screwed.

I'm also waitlisted so I wouldn't mind
When are the deposit deadlines for those with/without aid?

thanks --
the waitlist email says "Starting in mid-May, we plan to keep you updated every few weeks regarding the waitlist and any openings that may become available."
Does this mean they are not going to really make major moves on the waitlist until May?

Definitely re-take! 3.8 and 165 gives you this: http://mylsn.info/phf9tl/navko wrote:gwu is the only top 20 i got into this year, should i pay the sticker and go or Good luck! Follow your dreams! the lsat? i have a 3.8 but idk if i can get my lsat to 165+
If you can get it any higher, you could get serious $ at T14 schools(lower ones if not quite 170, upper T14 if 170+).

anyone still waiting on a response from GW?
My application just read "Complete" since 2/14.
Hoping to find out before 4/15 when I have to put money down on a school.

Anyone else still waiting for an initial acceptance/waitlist/rejection? I've been complete since 1/16 and haven't heard a word since. If deposits are due April 15, is it safe to assume this is a waitlist/rejection??

Do you think this means waitlist/rejection? Since deposits are due in a week?IggyLoyola wrote:3/10 complete.

Re: George Washington C/O 2017
not necessarily. it takes 8-12 weeks to get a response. If you applied in March, then naturally, your decision would be after the 4/15 deposit deadline. I think it's kind of a backdoor wait list. We're not actually wait listed, but obviously on the 15th, they'll know who's coming in and who's not. So maybe we'll get our decisions a week or two after the 15th.
All the same, I'll wait until the 15th to send in my deposit to UMiami. I'd hate to be out $500 only to find out on the 14th that I'm accepted to GW.

Just got an email regarding my merit scholarship increase request. They bumped me up another 2k per year, but its still far under what other schools are offering me. :/

Also just got the scholarship email. They initially gave me nada, now giving me 16K/year. Meanwhile have 30k/yr no-grades-attached offer from WUSTL. Do you guys think it's worth it for me to try to negotiate GW's offer up by telling them about WUSTL's offer?

I just got an email giving me $12k/year (PT) so $48k total. Originally I didn't receive anything.
I've accepted.

Do you officially accept simply by paying the deposit? Or is there another form to complete.Drockafeller wrote:I just got an email giving me $12k/year (PT) so $48k total. Originally I didn't receive anything.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
