Don't quote me on this, but I thought that last year there were some FR folks who started getting notified a few days before (like maybe Feb. 14).Pishee77 wrote:Me too!emmybee wrote:+1 I would like to know too!angels2fly wrote:Do FR decisions normally come out at the stated date in the email? Interview with Berkeley Law students here: http://youtu.be/UWya-liCcLE
Though, as a Berkeley undergrad alum who had friends at Berkeley Law and was generally close in geographic proximity to Berkeley Law students, I'm not sure how representative of the Berkeley Law students this video really is... I sort of resent that it reaffirms the "Bezerkeley" stereotype... Then again, Berkeley does have its fair share of crazies so ionos. Ha!

Lately I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve, counting down the time until I can sleep and hope good news awaits in the morning.

Before I applied to Cal, wednesdays were just hump days. Now they're the highlight of my week.

I'm way more excited for today than I probably should be... especially considering what GPA I applied with. I just want it SO BADLY.

According to last year's cycle, today's corresponding day was a bunch of non-FR dings, so those of us on FR might be waiting another week

Faculty Review. Berkeley admits some applicants outright, but subjects others to a faculty review process of which about 10% or so applicants (correct me if I'm wrong) make it through.Lebrarian_Booker wrote:What does FR mean?

it's from an interview with one of the dean's, too lazy to find it right now -- but I did a few weeks ago to verify veracity: it's legitChina Spy wrote:Yeah where are you pulling that stat from?vuthy wrote:Arrow4Christ wrote:Faculty Review. According to this, 200-250 people are admitted out of around 1500. That's like 13%.
From the quote, it seems like FR is the midway limbo b/w accept and WL.

I think more like 15% get admitted through FR. I know big difference.

But Boalt's overall acceptance rate according to lawschoolnumbers is 13% so I don't know why people are particularly freaked out about FR.Arrow4Christ wrote:rigoding wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=176984
