Nope. Haha. Simply got into my number one and have already enjoyed my years at 'ol Blue. Time to explore a new city/network. For those who have Yale as their number one, go kill it!

Above linked Asha post was very helpful. Because I'm helplessly out of the loop I actually only discovered the ask Asha blog right before I took the LSAT and after most of my app was already written. Of course I incorporated as much of her advice as possible into my app including this one: you can submit a DS if it really adds something, but it may be redundant to other parts of your app which will just annoy the reader.

I ended up submitting one because I thought it included things that weren't reflected elsewhere and made a legitimate point of how my background has shaped my worldview. But I haven't gotten in yet, so make of that what you will. A friend of mine who was accepted last year also submitted a DS. So in answer to you "do people do it" question, I can say that at least two people have done it with a 50% success rate .

Haha people do this every year, though not many. It's easy to forget that YLS isn't necessarily everyone's #1.

Thanks, I've seen that, I was just wondering what other people were doing based on that. Also, I'm getting the impression from this post that it's okay for your college activities to go slightly over one page, is that right? I also basically copied and pasted bullets from my resume, but I included 2 more things and have normal margins. (Let's play a game: Never Have I Ever fretted so much over formatting)

so the deadline is this Friday, but does anyone know whether this means your LSAC app has to be in by that time, or everything does? (LSAC report, LORs, etc). YLS is my last school so everything should already be good to go but I haven't factored in "processing time."

Also, I've been reading Asha's blog but is there another reputable source of 250 advice?

Good to see you back lucky!! I think they probably mean everything should have a submit date prior to the deadline, but someone else probably knows for sure.

What is the application deadline?
All applications must be submitted no later than February 28, 2014.

Also, regarding the 250, I'd probably just go with her advice. I mean...she's the one reading them

I did bullet points. Mostly copied from my resume but the wording was slightly different. I also added in a few more things and it went a bit over one page.

But I haven't heard anything back, so..
