Just curious, how has the search been for those trying to get off-campus (not Harvard affiliated) apartments?
With 155 (likely less at this point) apartments left in the HUH inventory, my chances of getting a place aren't looking good and I am thinking about making a trip to Cambridge to go apartment hunting.
Edit: Got off the phone with someone in HUH. I was told that housing availability is random, but that the number of available places normally doesn't increase a whole lot by this point.

Is Holden Green a good option for HLS? Anyone else live there or plan to?

I wanted to live there. It looked pretty nice. It seems all the Holden Green apartments were taken.

Just found out I'm in! Crazy.
As someone who wants to live alone, and being late in the game, I'm nervous about housing. Somehow I doubt that 750/month will get me a one bed with a large patio and parking, all five minutes from the school, like I had set up for uva.

Too lazy to do the math, but I think $750/month will get you the smallest room in the Gropius dorms with a communal bathroom to boot. Gotta love that Boston COL.

Think prison size. But only one person. And you can leave whenever you want.

A yucky communal bathroom...

I consider myself a generous person, but not with sharing bathrooms. Too many horror stories, too many things that can (and often do) go wrong.

Congrats to all the new admits! HLS is great and I'm sure all of you will enjoy it.
W/ regard to housing:
I'm a rising 2L. My roommate and I (both male) also pulled a horrible HUH lottery number, so we will probably need a third roommate. It looks like our best option right now consists of a nice 3 bedroom (1.5 bath) in the Square for ~1k each a month.
It's not a bad deal, considering the overall quality and location of the property. PM me if interested. I'm pretty decent at law school and my roommate is straight fire, so we could potentially help with schoolwork (which could be viewed as an added amenity).

^Thanks!
I've been reading through this thread... apparently admits received a carefully chosen book with a note and the author's signature?? I hope they're still doing this!

I hope you get one! I never did, so I don't think they were being sent to everyone--though mine might have gotten lost in the shuffle, I was moving

Yes, but I decided a while after a lot of people in my wave and later had gotten their books. Not a big deal at all, it just would have been nice to get a book with a personal note from an academic rock star. I mean, that's amazing.
Congrats on making your decision! Do you know where you will be living?

Congrats, and out of curiosity, how long to they give you to decide whether or not to accept their offer?

If only there was a way you could have had a few years of direct interaction with those academic superstars.
