Anyone submitting their FAFSA ASAP to be considered for merit aid? Is that how this works?

You can estimate it if your income is roughly the same as last year.

I remember that you made the Michigan FB Group as well. I have an intense yearning to be a member of Berkeley Law C/O 2016 but the odds are stacked against me.

You can estimate it if your income is roughly the same as last year.

This. You can put in your best guess and indicate that you have not yet filed taxes. Then when you file taxes, go back and adjust. Your priority is based on the date of initial FAFSA filing (or so UG financial aid folks tell me, and I assume it is the same).

Of all schools, Berkeley really does seem to care about the whole picture... so don't give up hope yet. There's still a lot of time left in this cycle.

And to back up my claim... there were waves of acceptances for people with your submit date all the way through mid-February of last year. Check out these graphs (sent date is on the left, acceptance date is on the bottom): --LinkRemoved--

Besides that, your chances at Michigan, by the numbers, weren't great (only about 22%, see: --LinkRemoved--) - but clearly they saw something they liked. Hopefully Berkeley will see the same thing.

Yeah, I'm really grateful that Michigan accepted me. I didn't see that coming at all. I've been using your site a lot to check my chances and while it's been helpful in tempering my expectations, I still hope against hope that I'll be that lucky outlier.

Yup, they even bolded the phrase "all applicants" to emphasize the fact they we have not yet been accepted. Awesome.
