Just thought I'd post this latest, and very detailed employment info released by William & Mary.
NALP info: http://www.lawschooltransparency.com/do ... dacted.pdf
Discussed here: --LinkRemoved--
-As a current student, I wish I would have known this info before attending. I think this info is very good and very inline with what the school presented, and it probably would have made me commit with more confidence.
-I think it also says something that W&M is one of only 30 schools to release this detailed info, and one of only two T30 schools to do so.
Good information. Also noted that in my acceptance package they included an extremely detailed employment profile (virtually the name of EVERY employer for classes of 2008-2010). I found it really impressive.

They can put a dead rabbit in my acceptance packet as long as I get one.

How long after you received you acceptance email did you receive your acceptance package? Did scholarship info come with initial package?

Got my email 5 days ago but no package yet. :?

It's starting to look like I'll get in, but I'd really like some money. Already have 25% at UIUC and about 90% at my safety.

Any chance W/M will send out decisions today, or are they probably shut down for Presidents Day?

I got my acceptance packet a little over a week later, and the scholarship packet several days after that.

I was just going through the stuff they sent me and I realized I made a mistake. The scholarship info did come with the acceptance. The thing that came a week later was from career services and had employment information.

(The second packet also contained the keychain, if anyone cares, so in case it doesn't come in the first mailing, don't sit around questioning your self-worth and wondering why W&M didn't think you were good enough for one assume they forgot to include it. It's probably coming in the next envelope.)

I figured if your packet contained a keychain you had been tagged as a member of the Ancient Society of the Keys and were well on your way to a meaningful and connected career from the William & Mary College of Law.

Has anyone ever seen the TV show Better Off Ted? I just watched an episode on Netflix where they randomly assign a different color of lab coat to someone because they found that any change in working conditions no matter how arbitrary increases productivity.

Do you think the keychain is just an attempt to mess with people?

The keychain isn't even cute! So don't worry about it.

I was pretty despondent that I didn't get one at first, but don't give up. I'm sure it will come eventually. Just in case it doesn't, though, I am willing trade you my whole entire keychain for part of your scholly.
Opie wrote:Do you think the keychain is just an attempt to mess with people?
Yes.

Hey, maybe the random keychain mailings will lead to the creation of a keychain black market! That would be awesome. (As indicated above, I am willing to part with mine for copious amounts of money. If interested, PM for further info.)

I wouldn't hate getting news from W&M about now (or a month ago). "By April 1st" is a tad bit too vague for an impatient person like me.

I think most of the last decisions come starting in mid-march. Last year, there were a TON on March 15.

Come the Ides of March, I will be very impatient.

Got good news on the negotiation front today. $3k more a year out of state, but If I qualify for in-state, I will get the same percentage scholarship with in-state tuition.

Just took a tour of the school with a 3L. It was great. The small town feel is nice and she answered all of my questions. She seems to love the school and the town. William and Mary may be moving into the lead.
