Complete date changed today to 11/23, after having an interview last night. Anyone want to speculate as to whether that means they already made a decision or whether they just changed the date to reflect receiving the interview evaluation?

I have a group interview coming up and was wondering if anyone has any tips except for "Why Law" & "Why Georgetown" - did anyone think a group interview was more stressful than a regular interview? (have never had one before)

I really hate group interviews in general, but I would suggest just be yourself and you'll be fine. Don't take it too seriously and act obnoxious - ie that guy who tries to make the interview about him and stand out.

Yeah, I've been wondering this too. My intuition is that the date change just reflects the interview evaluation.

If it helps, I'm above/at both 75ths, and my date changed today too. Applied early Nov. Didn't have an interview, and still nothing in the mail. What I gather from reading this thread is that the date you applied seems to matter much more than whether you're getting in/not. If you applied within a date range that has heard back on TLS, you might have reason to worry. Otherwise, I think you should just hang on. This stuff takes time.

My interviewer just got in touch with me. I'll respond with my resume and I presume we'll be having our interview shortly after Thanksgiving. I know what to say/ask, but I'm already feeling a bit nervous hahaha.

accepted via snail mail today! applied early october (PT only) with four status checker updates, most recently being 11/16. the letter was dated 11/15 and it seemed to take a while to get to me eventhough i live a few miles away from gulc.

and for the group interview, dont stress. i personally didnt think i said anything remotely insightful, just dont be an a-hole

so nobody on LSN with a GPA as low as mine has been accepted (edit: not just this year but any year listed), yet I was offered an interview. Are they just covering bases? Do they do this for anyone with a good LSAT score? or do I really have a shot here?

A few pages back they posted the stats. If you get interviewed, it's something like 45% accepted, 45% waitlist and 10% reject.

ah I see, well thanks.. that is a little encouraging although obviously not all borderline candidates are equal so I doubt I have a 45% chance......but pretty happy to get an interview anyway

My interviewer was very relaxed. It felt more like a conversation than an interview. So long as you can articulate why you want to go to law school and why you'd like to attend Georgetown, I wouldn't worry.

I'm just curious about whether or not anyone can give me any advice. Georgetown is my dream school; however, with a GPA of 3.8 and an LSAT score of 165, I figure I'm also a bit of a longshot. I applied ED and recently received a response that I've been deferred. Any thoughts about how I should take this news?

Email. Snail mail might be coming (I received the news on Tuesday through email) but since I'm abroad that kind of communication usually takes a while.
