I just saw on the myaccess the student requirements have changed to wanting tax forms. Do they need these before they give me an offer?

I called to check on my award letter and was told GULC never got my Needaccess form. Called Needaccess and turns out they had a problem with the Paypal and never charged me or sent my info to GULC. If any of you are still waiting you may want to check and see if this is the reason why!

I received an email saying my award was $45,000 per year ($135,000 total), but on my MyAccess financial aid page it says roughly $17,000 per year... is this just a delay and a previous award. Anybody else hear one thing and see something else?

I haven't gotten an email, so I emailed them today. Hopefully I don't have some problem like this!

Just got the fin aid email. It's half of Chicago's offer (at least that's what it says on MyAccess). Feel free to PM me for details.

I'm going to meet with them when I visit, but unless something dramatically changes, this really puts GULC out of the running. Hope that will help someone that's waitlisted!

I ended up getting ~$7k/year (+4.5k/yr work study) which is pretty notably less than Cornell's 20k/yr. So if there weren't enough reasons already, my decision is made, GULC is gone.

This may be a stupid question but I received a 1st Year grant from GULC on my financial aid report and am wondering if that grant will be for only the first year or will apply to all three years? It's a Dean's Tuition Grant if that helps at all, but very clearly marked as 1st Year. Anyone have any idea about this?

I have this too. When I asked, they said it gets recalculated every year, but will mostly stay the same unless you or your parents financial circumstances significantly change

Just got a call from finaid at GULC. They caught an error on the parent section of the NeedAccess, where my father accidently added an extra zero at the end of his AGI, and they wanted to make sure that was a mistake. At least I know they're looking at my file though!

haha yeah, I remember that Q&A session, and they said pretty explicitly that there was no due date. Damn you, GULC!

Has anyone been given merit aid who wasn't first contacted by GULC about being considered for scholarships?
