Well fingers crossed for the email then - hopes it comes today.lsatextreme wrote:+1Longhorn1117 wrote:My status just changed from "administrative review" to "decision letter pending." Should I expect to get an e-mail today/tomorrow?
from what I can gather from the previous pages, if you're admitted or WL'd, you'll get an email within the next day or so, but it looks like if you don't get an email, then...it can only mean one thing...at least that's what I think
Can we call and find out??

Re: Wake 2011
I would advise against that tbh. I'm dying to know as well but someone's gonna have to strap me to a tree before my f5 key burns upmss455 wrote:Well fingers crossed for the email then - hopes it comes today.lsatextreme wrote:+1Longhorn1117 wrote:My status just changed from "administrative review" to "decision letter pending." Re: Wake 2011
I think it would be pretty awesome if you called to find out! I've already called a few times in the last week so I'm a bit embarrassed to do it again.

I can't believe I actually have a new status. I've been in administrative review since November. My guess is that I'm going to be waitlisted but maybe, just maybe, they'll accept me.

Re: Wake 2011
You come off like a real douche here. The bolded was totally unnecessary and many people ITT would love to go to Wake. Maybe if this was a Cooley thread that sort of trolling would be appropriate, but come on, Wake is a solid school.mss455 wrote:Just got the Ding Email guys ... not one bit disappointed since it was 19th on my list of 19 schools !!! mind elaborating on why you might have been dinged, if you got into so many better schools? do you have absurd numbers (YP) or did you just completely blow them off and not even write a PS or somethingmss455 wrote:Just got the Ding Email guys ... not one bit disappointed since it was 19th on my list of 19 schools !!! EDIT: complete agreement with the above poster as well.

Re: Wake 2011
Looking through mss455's posts it looks like his/her numbers are 150/3.92 (intl. student FWIW) and the better schools are Lewis & Clark and LSU. What a joke.Stonewall wrote:mind elaborating on why you might have been dinged, if you got into so many better schools? do you have absurd numbers (YP) or did you just completely blow them off and not even write a PS or somethingmss455 wrote:Just got the Ding Email guys ... not one bit disappointed since it was 19th on my list of 19 schools !!! Just got into Windsor, so will be withdrawing all my apps from the US except for a few. Wake is one of those that could make me really sit down and debate. In admin review since Monday.

Re: Wake 2011
Sorry to everyone that I may have hurt your feelings pertaining to Wake. I regret the poor choice of words there - I did make it into Wisconsin-Madison for the record, which I consider better based on what's written about on TLS compared to Wake.
My poor opinion of Wake is based on the following TLS review:
Between the school’s low tuition and solid career prospects, any student looking to practice in North Carolina would be foolish not to include Wake Forest School of Law on her short list. One won’t find a big-city experience here, though. And the Wake clinical offerings and complaints against the facilities should be considered just as heavily as the school’s great professors and regional reputation.

This was my personal stance on the school and how I feel about it, and that is what I wrote - it indeed on MY personal list of 19 schools at the bottom.
I regret if I have offended any TLSers by sharing my personal views on the school on here.

Re: Wake 2011
That clinical information is way out of date...Wake had 6 clinics not including the DC externship, and guarantees any student that wants clinic work will get clinic work.
