how do y'all feel about brachiosauruses?
Did y'all know that birds came from dinosaurs? And that the bigger the dinosaur was, the smaller the bird is now? #evolution
Are we exchanging fun science facts?

I love fun facts.

Anyone who is announcing JS1s/JS2s/dings should do so honestly and by providing as much info about their stats/ complete/ interview dates as they feel comfortable divulging.

If people want to kvetch about the process or share info, they should feel free to do that.

If you're just going to stir the pot (with extra !!!) or tiny font or by posting spurious info, you should just STFU. At this point it's not witty or clever and it doesn't reflect well on the imbecile who decides to post it.

Please and thank you.

Perhaps multiple questions marks may have been a more appropriate choice of punctuation. I understand why the post would annoy someone, but did people really think for any amount of time that JS2s were actually happening at 10am EDT / 7am PDT?

I for one simply shrugged at the odd post and got on with my morning.

Didn't scientists dub a recently found one the "chicken from hell"? I haven't given much thought to a favorite, but that one is most definitely not it.

Just FYI, the second day of JS2s this cycle went out that early since they were finishing up a round from the night before. Soo.... Yeah.

Okay sorry for being so uptight everyone. I am just bitter because it's been over 100 days since my JS1. I'm not trying to make excuses, I just hope people will understand where I'm coming from.

Still, I have to say that it is really inconsiderate when people drop in to say "Jay Esssss Toooo!!! Omg still shaking!" and then leave without giving us any useful information like stats, JS1 date, and URM status. I fully understand that having that information has no bearing on whether or not we receive a JS2, but it helps us manage our expectations.

Again, sorry for being a grouch. You guys are all great, and you all deserve to dat JS2.

I think barfing in that situation is justified.

 given the way heart stutters when I get an email from Harvard's Program on Negotiation, I can only imagine how violent my reaction would have been to that email.

Dinged

173/3.6, applied mid-December, no JS1

Can't say I'm surpised, but still disappointed. Retaking and reapplying is looking like a real option right now.

Dinged!

172/3.79 Applied late October.

Not surprised or disappointed. My mother-in-law lives in Boston...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
