:) The games they choose are kind of interesting...they are actually my favorite part! I am going to retake--in June actually. I figured it was worth a shot. What did you do between your retakes to increase your score?

I took a break. I studied so hard for the September 2009 LSAT. Used the bibles, took 32 PT's under exact conditions and went over all my mistakes after grading my PT's. I was so distaught when I received my September score, I decided to take a break from LSAT prep during October. I started up again in November and there was a big improvement in my PT scores. However, they didnt fully translate to my December score, but I think rest helped. Not doing anythign LSAT related for a while.

Im not sure how long its been for you. Ive always wanted to take a course, but its ridiculously expensive. Im not sure how much it would help, but I figure that if rigorous self study didnt help a lot, maybe a little guided study would help. Take a course if its at all possible.

Just found this thread! I am on the PT/FT waitlist as well. Does anyone know where they will be going if they are not taken? I will be attending McGeorge. Good luck to all! I will keep you posted on my status!

This old dog will be reapplying next year. My financial situation is terrible and working for a year (if I can find a job) would really help me get my finances in order. But lets hope I and the other hopefuls can get in this year!

I got that email a few days ago. I replied that I would accept the PT spot, if offered, and received a call later that day informing me that I'm in. Sent my deposit the same day.

Thank you for your continued interest in American University Washington College of Law. We will be reviewing a small number of applicants from our wait list for admission into the part-time evening program. Your file has been selected for consideration by the Committee on Admissions. Prior to bringing the file to the full committee, I wanted to determine your level of interest. If you are interested in attending American University Washington College of Law this fall in the part-time evening program, please respond to this e-mail within 24 hours and provide a phone number where you can be reached.

Important: Candidates offered a seat in the entering class must commit to American University Washington College of Law and submit a non-refundable $900 seat deposit by credit card or e-check via the AU web link within 24 hours of receiving the offer.

Regards,

Akira

Sias,

Going to look into WCL PT; i told Sarah straight up on the phone that i am waiting for two more schools, and she said that that is fine, as long as the $900 is paid within 24hrs.....

Dropping the deposit tomorrow, will withdraw immediately if i change my mind.

I also just got off the PT waitlist. 24 hours to decide between American and Brooklyn with 12k a year...

Can I put the seat deposit for American and later decide to defer a year / go to Brooklyn? What are the strings attached?

The deposit is non-binding, but also non-refundable.

Still, congrats guys. Maybe some of us will be classmates this fall. Unless I get off UNC's wait list, I'll be at WCL.

Check again. I was accepted FT (not from the wait list) and my "non-refundable" deposit is partially refundable if I pull out before June 30. Maybe if they are pulling people from the waitlist your strings are different, but I wouldn't think so.

2. You were not offered admission off the waiting list.
3. You were not a transfer or visitor candidate.
4. You did not defer your admission from a previous year.
5. You were not a Public Interest/Public Service Scholarship recipient.
6. You have submitted the Not Attending Notification form via the web (https://www.wcl.american.edu/admiss/not_attending.cfm).
7. If the Admissions Office receives this form no later than June 30, 2010 5:00pm EDT, a $450.00 refund is available. Please note that failure to submit this form electronically by the June 30, 2010 5:00pm EDT deadline will result in a forfeiture of all deposit funds.

Yup. But it definitely curtails the amount of people who would otherwise tie up a spot for the next month or two.

I will definitely give AU a point for being efficient, even ruthlessly efficient. Best of luck in deciding.
