I got one a few weeks ago. Under median LSAT, no reportable GPA (international transcript).OtisRedding24 wrote:Anyone under either median get a JS1 yet?

Does anyone know a rough estimate of what percentage of JS1s get accepted?

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I was really hoping to get a JS1 before the holidays! Complete late November with GPA > 75 and 25 > LSAT > 50. Feel like there's something wrong with my application since LSN says my chances are pretty good.

I'm 25 < LSAT < 50 and 50 < GPA < 75 and no JS1 yet. I suspect there are plenty of us out there. Patience is a virtue! According to last year's schedule, we are not even halfway through the JS1 waves yet.

Hopping in late to this, but I just got a JS1! It's past midnight here in China (American expat, so domestic applicant, technically) but I stayed up to make the appointment because most appointment times are during the middle of the night here... first world problems!
50 < GPA < 75 - though pretty close to hitting the 75th percentile
GRE: 168V (98%ile) 162Q (81%ile) 5.5AW (98%ile)

When are typical JS1 time slots? Do they usually coincide with people’s work schedules?

I'm guessing it's because my area code isn't the same as theirs, and also the JS2 email didn't go through, probably they just saved it as a draft and forgot to send it? Or maybe it got lost on its way to my inbox. Anyway should I call tomorrow morning and figure out what went wrong? Pls advise.

Mid-morning to about 5:30 PM were the options it showed me. I just scheduled a late slot so that I could leave work early and take it at home.anacabana wrote:When are typical JS1 time slots? Do they usually coincide with people’s work schedules?

Looks like there are a couple of days in January where they are offering slots as late as 8 and 8:30 pm. I don't recall if I've seen anything before 9 am, and the earliest still remaining are 10am.anacabana wrote:When are typical JS1 time slots? Do they usually coincide with people’s work schedules?

A reasonable rule of thumb is that the meaning behind status checker updates is impossible to accurately interpret. I thought I'd like this because I didn't encounter anything comparable when I applied to undergrad, but they are actually the worst. Props to Harvard and Georgetown for not feeding into the neuroses more than they have to.spicysalmonroll wrote:ok im officially reading into EVERYTHING now because im neurotic af and have been watching the crown for the past 8 hours.

So does getting an interview request mean that you have a pretty good chance of getting in? Or does it not mean much? Any stats on this? I got one and I'm pretty surprised tbh.

Its definitely a good sign. In years past its been a ~75% acceptance rate for those who get interviews. Though I have heard that they are giving out more interviews this year, so perhaps that percentage will be lower. But a JS1 is never a bad sign!Veil of Ignorance wrote:So does getting an interview request mean that you have a pretty good chance of getting in? Or does it not mean much? Any stats on this? This gets repeated all the time and to date no one has been able to provide any evidence of its truth.JS2hopeful wrote:Where did you hear/read that they were doing more interviews this year?TastyMango wrote:Its definitely a good sign. +1!!! I knew I kept seeing this mentioned but I've searched all over and haven't seen where they said more will be offered this year.rideagain wrote:This gets repeated all the time and to date no one has been able to provide any evidence of its truth.JS2hopeful wrote:Where did you hear/read that they were doing more interviews this year?TastyMango wrote:Its definitely a good sign.
