If it's Vandy, well, they do that. If UF, I haven't looked it up but they might not do fulls
The school definitely does fulls, with a few fulls + stipends. Not really salty about it or anything, just goes to show you how random the admissions and scholly game can be.

But you're also talking about an initial scholarship offer. I would think at most schools you would need to go through some sort of negotiation and not just automatically be handed a full+stipend. WUSTL seems like the outlier here.

I feel like you're being a teensy bit elitist and assuming that you should receive a full+stipend at a school whose 75ths you are above without giving them any indication you really want to go there. Someone else said it early, but don't you think they notice your scores are above their 75ths?

Quality, location, and rent vary greatly. Up the hill, down the hill, on the hill. House vs. Apartment vs. House turned into apartment (lots like this). Some places here arr sketchy, others aren't. Feel free to pm me for details

Just got my first admission, full ride to my super safety school in my area. Even if the rest of my cycle is horrible, I can definitely go to law school.

I hope so. If not I'm going to a school that would make most of TLS say "don't go there even for free." But I can live with that with my career goals.

WUSTL numbers up yet again, they could be T14 in a few years I think if their seemingly unlimited money doesn't dry up (seriously, look at their 509s, like everyone there has a 1/2+ scholarship).

I'm seriously considering it as well, will probably visit sometime this semester. My only concern is that their BL+FC fust a few years ago was in the 20s vs. the 40s it's in now.

Weirdly enough, I recently began to really like WUSTL as well. They're a great school, and I always planned on applying but now I actually started to really like them and have been researching them more now.

I'm impressed by WUSTL's increasing employment statistics over the years, but I still question the stability of those numbers if the market suddenly starts a downward trend in the next 3 years. The T-6 still have some variability, but the top 25% at these schools will almost always be able to find jobs. Something tells me if the market starts to tank that top 25% at WUSTL may not be enough.
Agree 100%. Still, the prospect of going for absolutely free to a good school is very enticing, and gives me flexibility to not go into biglaw if I end up changing my mind about what I want to do after graduation.

SAME!
I was originally planning to use my WUSTL interview as a practice interview because... well, St. Louis. As I started researching to come up with questions to ask, I started finding a lot of things that I really liked. Plus it really helped that my interviewer was so nice. Definitely something I'm considering now, wrote a "Why WUSTL" and everything because I found so much that I was interested in that the "Why WUSTL" basically wrote itself.

That is absolutely a fair concern, but based upon my (cursory) knowledge of how these things work, it seems to me that if a law school is not relatively static from year to year in terms of prestigious placement and other similar metrics, then it's either on an upward trajectory or a downward trajectory, that simple. The fact that Wash U has improved this much this quickly is a great sign to me. Of course if the market tanks like other have said above they're not going to place as well. But Wash U is never going to be T6-level school. What they are becoming, however, is--depending on one's goals--a better option in terms of outcomes and for the money than some peer schools in the 15-20 range.

ETA I am a pretty extreme splitter so I might just be trying to get myself hyped up here about what will likely be my best outcome. Also I'd still absolutely take similarly-ranked Vandy over WUSTL right now, all else being equal (incl $). But I'll be visiting the two back-to-back in a few wks, so I'll have a prime chance to compare!
