Getting quoted by Asha on Twitter like the boss you are. It's like we have a celebrity in our midst.seeprybyrun wrote:Looks like Dean Asha just finished reading the last of the applications.

Ooooooooh GOTCHA. well damn.AnonHumanPerson123 wrote:Several days ago, Asha tweeted that she had "only...today" finished reading files and that many files were still out in faculty review. So, I think her tweet tonight could POTENTIALLY mean that all files are now back from faculty review. But this is just speculation.guppiesbaby wrote:Doesn't this actually mean it's all going to take 5ever? Like a ton of files only going to faculty review now, so that's going to take a while, and all the borderline people will not get decisions until after the faculty review for these files is done?
I guess maybe some dings soon, IF we're lucky...

Re: Yale c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Minor observation: estimating admits from the Facebook group through a "members+invited" formula definitely double counts at least some people. People who can't join at first invitation (due to their fb-associated email being different from the one admissions has on file) probably request a new invite be sent to a different email, leaving an extra invite hanging out there. Invitation counts indicate unique e-mail addresses, not necessarily unique people. No clue how large this effect is, but it's there.

Did not apply at Yale but Dean Asha tweeted my photo from Michigan's Preview Weekend.
I'm basically in now, right?

Considering her tweet said decisions would be "ongoing" I'm surprised there hasn't been movement yet. This weekend sounds good to me.AnonHumanPerson123 wrote:I guess it is looking like we'll have to wait for the weekend to see any movement?

Do y'all know why they wait to release rejections? Is it because they don't want people to "guess" if they were straight rejects or went to fr?Whittie wrote:Considering her tweet said decisions would be "ongoing" I'm surprised there hasn't been movement yet. Seems like a good reason to me. Another reason could be that they just don't have the time for this, so they get to the rejection emails once they've read all the files. Given Asha's twitter update, it could be this weekendlilitiger99 wrote:

Releasing them on April fools day would be cruel

Almost as cruel as getting married on April fools day...and yet such is the blush dress situation I'm in. *holds flowers and constantly refreshes email*lilitiger99 wrote:Gabriel_is_Satan wrote:Seems like a good reason to me.
