I've been complete since 12/28! I'm still waiting. Vandy is a very appealing school for my career goals, however, so I'll be waiting until they tell me I can't anymore! PM for stats.omarkh wrote:Anybody else complete around 12/15?

Can anyone confirm if we are guaranteed some kind of decision by Friday?

I emailed the admissions folks seeing if I could send anything to demonstrate my continued interest. They said they have received more applications than usual and I should not expect a decision for a few weeks. I went complete 2/8, so I definitely would not hold my breath for this week unless you went complete a long time ago. Best of luck to the waiters...PatriotP74 wrote:Can anyone confirm if we are guaranteed some kind of decision by Friday?

I would say expect movement soon since the first deposit deadline is coming up.Danimals18 wrote:at this point I'd be surprised if I got a decision before class starts in august...PatriotP74 wrote:Can anyone confirm if we are guaranteed some kind of decision by Friday?

Been waiting since 1/8, not as long as some but 3 months seems a bit excessive, and I think I'm a competitive candidate with my numbers. I emailed them this week asking for an update since I have upcoming deadlines. They hit me with a generic response that my application hasn't been returned by the admissions committee yet and no timeline.DebtIsAmyth wrote:OuchDenver1230 wrote:I emailed the admissions folks seeing if I could send anything to demonstrate my continued interest. Complete since 1/11. Receive a call from a Tennessee number. Could it be?! Is this it? Am I dreaming? Is this real life?!
...just a telemarketer. Of course. Nice.

That's horrible! I'm going bonkers as I'm still waiting to be reviewed... why is it taking so long why can't they just give us an answer already?

from what I recall, your application never shows when you are under review. It goes straight from "complete" to "decision made".[/quote]
Thank you for letting me know!

It is kind of crazy to me that many of us (myself included) have been complete since January (1/13 for me) and haven't even been waitlisted or denied at this point. It is frustrating that rather than conducting their holistic reviews based upon when an application was submitted, they are doing it based on boosting their stats. O guess it is all just part of the business.

I feel like you are exactly right. Hopefully they can hold it together for some more acceptances.Danimals18 wrote:I feel like "holistic" is code for "underfunded and overworked admissions office", and they use it to justify making applicants wait an incredibly long time.Thewanderer wrote:It is kind of crazy to me that many of us (myself included) have been complete since January (1/13 for me) and haven't even been waitlisted or denied at this point.
