Does anyone know which schools' scholarship offers UT will consider when negotiating? Is it only T14? T20?

Re: University of Texas c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Got my scholarship email yesterday and they offered me...nothing
I didn't realize that Texas was my #1 until I got in, but now I'm super bummed. If anyone has any suggestions on how to proceed given the following, I'd appreciate it:
OOS 3.3 169
Only applied to a handful of schools with the specific programs/regional industry I'm looking for, so my acceptances so far are: Colorado w/ $$$ and Tulane w/$$$. Waiting on SLS and NYU, which are obviously no-gos. WL at Georgetown. Will UT even care that I have offers the #40 and #50 school? Should I wait to hear if I get off the waitlist at Georgetown and use that? Wait until after the first deposit is due as they get more money in from admits going elsewhere? UT only does a one-time scholarship review, which makes this a bit more fraught.
HALP! And if there's a better thread elsewhere for this just let me know!

As a UT student and a Liverpool fan, I'm used to being on the outside (of the t14/top 4) looking in, but the future looks bright.

Yep! I also got the email confirmation from UT Austin that I would not be receiving any merit $$ and withdrew shortly thereafter. I could have pushed for $$ with competing offers, but given I don't have much long-term interest in living/working in TX, I figured it was best to gracefully bow out.thelincolnlawyer wrote: So they notify us even if we don't receive any scholarship $$? I'm hoping to at least receive the in-state waiver most people have been getting.

WL'd today. I guess I can pay a seat deposit at another school and then withdraw anyway if I get into UT?

Does anyone know where the calendar of deadlines is? I for the life of me can't find the deposit deadline, etc.

Did anyone have any success negotiating an increase in their scholarship offer?

Totally! I live on the west coast and it came in at 5:30AM. I applied really late into the cycle and UT is the only school out of the 6 that I applied to that has made a decision. Now I just have 5 more schools to wait for...*fingers crossed.* Really excited about UT though!OtterLaw wrote:Wow so early on a Monday! Great way to start the week eh? It's not a friendly year for lower LSATs with UT this year, so don't feel bad. Except for a few I've seen, anyone with an LSAT under median (167) isn't getting much love.Lynched.Pin wrote:Checking in. Wait-listed. 3/164. Hope one of you over-achievers gets a better deal.

I can only hope that everyone above me gets a full ride to a better ranked school.OtterLaw wrote: It's not a friendly year for lower LSATs with UT this year, so don't feel bad. Except for a few I've seen, anyone with an LSAT under median (167) isn't getting much love.
In all honesty my application was later in the cycle and didn't help with the Feb retake. I might just go for it again in June and try to get on the ED list next year.

On the WL since January, sent in a LOCI about two weeks ago. Pretty sure I'm still hanging on because of my application strength but my LSAT is under median. Retaking in June but I was an idiot and forgot to mention it in the LOCI. Should I send a brief e-mail?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
