Same sort of deal, Submitted ED 10/9. Complete 10/10, Then not sure when it happened but by monday it was "Completed" and I haven't heard back about an interview or anything like that so I'm pretty confident I'm getting some bad news whenever the next batch comes out, sighmaxc1994 wrote:I submited my application of ED Nov.2. Haven't got a decision yet. I heard that rejection or waitlisted will be delivered by email, acceptance by mail. I didn't get an email so far. And I'm an international applicants. So I hope that the acceptance might be delivering by snail mail now. Or I might will receive the dinged mail today, or they simply doesn't fullfill their 3 weeks promise.Applicant12 wrote:does anyone else have the boxes? Exactly the same situation here. I'm thinking about declining, given that the email says it's optional and won't harm your application. Has anyone here declined, and if so, how long did it take to hear back with a decision?theugg wrote:I'm kinda confused because I'm >75% LSAT and 50-75% for GPA so I feel like I'm not a borderline? I'm a huge reverse splitter so I feel like for ED they would want to interview me if I had a shot at this so I'm always panickingmaxc1994 wrote:You should not be nervous for the absence of interview request. There was someone in the thread earlier who I think declined and was accepted shortly thereafter.justakicker wrote:Exactly the same situation here. That said, why would you decline it? It sounds like your reason is somewhat a sense of entitlement, like they don't need to interview you because your stats are strong.
Forgive me if I've misread your tone, my point is just that you shouldn't try to figure out why they've chosen to interview you because it could be any number of reasons and, if you're able, go ahead and do the interview. You've got nothing to lose by doing it.

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
GPA >50, LSAT >75, but that really has nothing to do with it. I'm currently in undergrad and am swamped with finals/research papers at the end of the semester, so that's my main reason. With that being said, I'll probably end up doing it...benwyatt wrote:There was someone in the thread earlier who I think declined and was accepted shortly thereafter.justakicker wrote:Exactly the same situation here. You too! Also realized I made a pretty big error there, dates are 11/9. 11/10,kangaroo430 wrote:Good luck! I hope you will get in!Applicant12 wrote:Same sort of deal, Submitted ED 10/9. As per LSN, last year a 180 guy who declined the interview was waitlisted.

Does anyone know why some people are invited to a group interview and some people are invited to an alumni interview?
Are the group interviews in-person only, maybe?

I just received an invitation for the Alumni interview and I don't understand why. Is it for scholarship reason or is it because I'm a borderline applicant (both my LSAT and GPA are above 75th though)...

"Thank you for applying for admission to Georgetown University Law Center. Based on the strength of your application, the Admissions Committee would like to invite you to interview locally with one of our alumni."
That's what the email says but then again...
I just hope I didn't mess up somewhere in my application

Also got the interview invitation today, I wish Gtown was like other schools (Wash U) where an interview request says a little more about where they're leaning on your application, but I'll take it! For reference, I submitted Nov. 3.

At 75 GPA, at 25 LSAT, maybe a semi-splitter, so I'm probably borderline for them.theugg wrote:What are your stats?threatlevelmidnight wrote:Also got the interview invitation today, I wish Gtown was like other schools (Wash U) where an interview request says a little more about where they're leaning on your application, but I'll take it!
