And I recommend putting your dogs away for your interview. Having a ninety pound doberman whining and distracting you during your two minute frame isn't advisable.

Checking in to say I got my interview request Friday, and I interviewed over the weekend. I anticipated all 4 questions and had answers prepared. In theory. In reality, I was so nervous (Cornell is my top choice) that I had a lump in my throat and stuttered, stumbled, and generally made myself out to be an idiot who would be laughed out of any court room. So... the rest of you with interviews, definitely don't do what I did. I just hope they put me out of my misery quickly.

Don't worry. They know the interview format is weird and I'm sure they give interviewees slack for thatgenericwit wrote:Checking in to say I got my interview request Friday, and I interviewed over the weekend. Same here. I spent several days preparing, yet still felt like a failure after the interview.genericwit wrote:Checking in to say I got my interview request Friday, and I interviewed over the weekend. Yeah, I felt like I completely blew this interview but got accepted shortly after nonetheless.edditb wrote:Don't worry. Just interviewed. Went all right, could've been worse! The questions I got were
1)Favorite Book and why?
2) A time I failed and what did I learn?
3) Advice I'd give to a high school senior about choosing a major?
4) What will I contribute to the Cornell Law Academic community?
I hate questions like #4 because I feel like everyone answers the same damn thing: dedication, hard-work, an open mind, optimism, yada yada...

Checking in! Not sure if it's already been addressed, but generally, does everyone with an interview get accepted?
Thanks for any feedback!

Interviewed over the weekend, and now I can't stop twitching every time I get an email
. For those of you who've heard, how long after the interview did you get the call/ding?

About a month for me.. Though I did interview during the break so it is possible it took so long due to the holidays. Best of luck!lawj5 wrote:Interviewed over the weekend, and now I can't stop twitching every time I get an email. For those of you who've heard, how long after the interview did you get the call/ding?

Looking through last cycle's thread, they sent out the full tuition scholarship with acceptance but I haven't seen anyone in this thread, the spreadsheet or on mylsn for this cycle so far. I wonder if they're changing things up?

My guess would be that yes, they are. I believe that the law school got a new dean this year so maybe that could be a reason for a possible change.gamerish wrote:Looking through last cycle's thread, they sent out the full tuition scholarship with acceptance but I haven't seen anyone in this thread, the spreadsheet or on mylsn for this cycle so far. so, the cornell interview email said they'd like it completed within ten days. Do you think it matters if we complete it on the seventh day? would it look better if it was done by the third or fourth? serious question, here.

Got the interview request. Not looking forward to it. What did you all use for a backdrop? I really pushed the fact that I'm an artist in my PS and resume, would it be lame to do the interview in my studio to further highlight that?
Also my computer doesn't play audio, do the questions appear in text?

Questions are read out through a video, so you need speakers. I think you're overthinking backdrop. I think they care more about the contents of your answers than a painting in the background.

Also, my status checker changed dates, but it still says "Interview Requested." So does the date indicate they've received it or nothing at all?
