2) I asked this earlier ITT and to current HLS students and the overwhelming consensus was definitely not to (and I got my JS2 so it turned out fine). Btw I didn't catch my interviewer's name either lol.
3) I challenge anyone here to claim they didn't stumble at all during their JS1. It definitely sounds like you'll be fine... but like everyone else you won't really believe that until you get your JS2.

I interviewed yesterday and was told that we would hear in early January. Not surprising given Christmas, but I wish my interview was just a bit earlier!!!

I'm putting my Monopoly money down on one this Tuesday - a week from the last release. The first release was earlier than last year, making me think we're more like 2012 and 2013 (which had multiple Dec. releases) than last year.

I'm putting my Monopoly money down on one this Tuesday - a week from the last release. The first release was earlier than last year, making me think we're more like 2012 and 2013 (which had multiple Dec. releases) than last year.

My interviewer told me everyone is going on vacation and that it would be at least 3 weeks

Ah, well, never mind then. There goes my career as a professional gambler/oracle.

my mind says january, but my heart says this afternoon or next tuesday. In the past they office has kept working (and making calls!) for at least another week. I think the "vacation"/"new year" card they play during interviews is just to keep you from expecting a UVA-like turnaround and then wallowing in despair when you don't get a call within 20 minutes.
