URM here too!
Wow. This would be really interesting if we were approaching a URM-heavy wave. Out of the 4 acceptances on March 31st and April 1st reported on LSN last year, 3 were URMs with LSATs bordering 160 and GPAs from 3.45-3.8.
Damn I'm not URM... gg for me I guess
Well I'm looking at it this way: last year LSN reported 4 late acceptances and 3 were URMs. Based on those stats and the responses to Lara's original URM question, I say the same late acceptances this year have to be the three URMs that responded and you, Zombie! Done. Totally logical reasoning. ;)

That would be amazing if the trend follows this year!! Thanks for finding those stats!

Haven't moved from complete since 2/5. Anyone else in the same boat?

I hope I'll be the lucky one..although it's a remote possibility

Anyone have negotiation success using vandy as leverage? Who did you send the letter to?

FWIW, I'm also a URM and am still waiting to hear back from like 8 schools including USC. I applied early January and around/slightly above both medians. :/ the wait is killing me. UR2 as of 2/23

Complete speculation, but if you're at both medians as a URM I'd say it's yp.
Omd, I have a feeling we're in a similar boat. I'm a URM splitter who went complete 1/5 and am UR2 as of 2/27. If you're slightly above both medians and still haven't heard, that gives me hope that we'll have a wave of good news soon.

Yeah, idk about being YP because I have the same situation at the other 8 schools I'm waiting to hear back from and I'm not above/around those medians. Based solely on anecdotal evidence from friends who were URM and applied late in the cycle with average numbers, many of them didn't hear back until the complete end of cycles (one friend didn't hear from SC until May). So we'll see. I'm not trying to get my hopes up here.

I've been in final review since 3/10, it's a painful wait.
Decision finalized. Must be a ding. :(

Several people who were admitted went from IFR to DF on same day and got their email by end of day. Not time to worry yet.

A few of us have been sitting at late February CR2s. I don't think it's a cause for concern.

Hi all I went to the New York reception last night and people on the other USC forum were asking about it. If you want to read an overview of what happened there or a Q&A with a current 3L check out pg 4 of this forum. http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5&t=245075

^^ yay mec! I like the publicity you are doing here (I think we beat our town rival in terms of # of posts and views on that forum. Rivalry starts now?)

For those who are "stuck," I'm going to speculate that more decisions should come out after two dates--
4/1, when hopefully people matriculating somewhere else will withdraw, and
4/15, when the scholarship reservation form is due.

Good luck all!!

Zom, I feel your anxiety rn

Could be helpful to the URM discussion. I'm an MA above both 75ths that applied in late October and just got in March 20. I don't get USCs reasoning but whatever haha

Probably right but it still didn't make sense to me considering I live pretty close to LA that I did the Rothman scholarship stuff the day I got the email and that they admitted me anyway. Other school's YP was basically if you do our interview you're good

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
