I'M IN!!!!! Got the call about fifteen minutes ago during class and dropped my notes on the floor in my haste to get outside and take the call. First thought was "omg gotta tell the parents," followed quickly by "omg gotta tell TLS!"
UR 1/19, 50th < GPA < 75th < LSAT. Index: 3.616. Good luck all!

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
so, it seems as if they've reached mid-jan submissions for acceptances so far. and around november submissions for DLS. what does it mean for people who have not been accepted, submitted in sept/oct, but have also not been rejected yet? is there precedence for SLS to go back and accept a significant portion of these applicants?

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
From the website: "The law school uses a rolling admissions process, acting upon applications throughout the admissions season as they are completed. However, some applications are held until the committee has reviewed the entire applicant pool. This second review occurs in April, at which time the class will be filled. (A small number of applications will be held for possible use in filling vacancies that may occur during the summer.)"
Depending on how many they hold, I think it's difficult to say what being passed over at this point really means. I've also noticed that they seem to have mainly accepted people waaay above medians recently - to me this says not to give up hope. Any thoughts?

The only "plausible" explanation would be that they are stacking up their numbers to admit lots of applicants under their medians (fingers crossed)mwonka wrote:From the website: "The law school uses a rolling admissions process, acting upon applications throughout the admissions season as they are completed. Submit early January. Waitlist/rejection coming up, or is there hope for me to be granted admission in April?

Any expectations based on previous timelines when we'll see another DLS/acceptance wave?

You can use LSN and sort by decision date. I used last year's data and it looks like they continue to reject/accept people with December, January and February submission dates until the end of March/beginning of April.adman921 wrote:Any expectations based on previous timelines when we'll see another DLS/acceptance wave?
It also seems that, around April 10th, they started going over applications again as per submit day & making their final decisions on those applications.
