Got lowballed as well I feel, very disappointed. Vanderbilt was my second choice after being waitlisted at my #1. 169, 3.5 stats. Should I try to negotiate despite the statement on the letter?
Edit--45k total, 15k a year.

Similar numbers, still waiting on my offer. How much they award you?Traveller wrote:Got lowballed as well I feel, very disappointed. Vanderbilt was my second choice after being waitlisted at my #1. 169, 3.5 stats. Should I try to negotiate despite the statement on the letter?

Sorry forgot to add it in my post! I was awarded 45k total, so 15k a year. I really like Vandy, but I can't justify that debt.

Well Decision Mailed today. Fedex delivery manager doesn't say anything yet, does it take awhile to show up?

Took me a few hours but I got an email from FedEx titled "FedEx Shipment Notification". I'd called FedEx almost as soon as I saw DLS and they had nothing for me at first.JLM268 wrote:Well Decision Mailed today. Fedex delivery manager doesn't say anything yet, does it take awhile to show up?

Cool, I wasn't expecting Fedex to have anything yet I just saw the change now so I'm sure exactly what time it happened. So by tonight if I don't get anything from Fedex I'll just assume I'm WL or rejected though my numbers on LSN say I should be good.altf4 wrote:Took me a few hours but I got an email from FedEx titled "FedEx Shipment Notification". Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
Got my scholly info, 75k. Seems low but I wasn't planning on attending anyway, just received a fee waiver and thought I might use it to negotiate with usc or ucla but usc and wustl have already given much better offers so I will be withdrawing soon. Not sure how one should read the explicit no negotiating stance they mention. It just seems inconceivable to me that a school like vandy would not try to poach some from the lower t14 or ucla/usc by being open to scholarship negotiation. If I were someone whose first choice was vandy, I would definitely still try to negotiate a low scholly offer.

Just got the letter. $95,000 total, which was much better than I expected. I am very happy right now.
