First post ever...
Applied to 17 schools and have heard back from everyone, including getting "reserved" at Cornell but still waiting on Vanderbilt at just over 13 weeks.
Median LSAT, barely under 25% for GPA, softs are better than fine (if that even matters)

I think it's just a thing Vandy is doing this cycle. I've been complete for over 23 weeks, and before anyone asks, yes, I've contacted them.

At this rate I think Vandy is digging itself a hole come deposit time. Seems like VLS has been quick to admit applicants who will in all likelihood go to a better school, and has left realistic applicants hanging. And when they finally get around to admitting their practical candidates, it'll be too late - other schools will have shown interest & nabbed a lot of them. I'm predicting a TON of early wait list acceptances.

Yeah, I don't think the process is quite as holistic as one would hope. And, I'm still waiting on Vandy, and it is one of my top schools. However, I have other deposit deadlines coming up.bfc2013 wrote:At this rate I think Vandy is digging itself a hole come deposit time. I just took a cursory glance at LSN and haven't really been following this cycle, but it looks like they're hoping to get their median up to 168 (or maybe even back to a 169) at the expense of class size. Maybe they're not wait listing marginal candidates so they can admit them at the last minute and pretend they were always in love.

Admitted students receive a package via FexEx in two or three days from mailing. I suppose dings come via snail mail.littlegiant wrote:Decision mailed 3/19...How long did people wait for the letter?littlegiant wrote:Going on 18 weeks with other deposit dates coming up...

Also, are no seat deposit numbers an automatic indication of a WL/ding?

FWW I had a 167, went complete early February, and got accepted end of February. Maybe I'm just lucky! Part of me wonders if admissions depts are just scrambling, asking wtf ahould we do?! In response to low application numbers.ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) wrote:I just took a cursory glance at LSN and haven't really been following this cycle, but it looks like they're hoping to get their median up to 168 (or maybe even back to a 169) at the expense of class size.
