Ditto. I've got the exact same dates. I feel a large batch of decisions coming. Good luck everyone!ChuckBass wrote:UR1 12/3, UR2 12/19 and just now UR3 1/6. So I really hope that means a decision too.

It may be pure arrogance or simply positive thinking but as I am still UR at 11/22 I am convinced it is a good thing.Soco Law wrote:+2redsoxfan1989 wrote: at least you aren't stuck at 11/22

Is the consensus to write an optional essay on one of the suggested prompts? Or would it be kosher to send in a tailored "why Penn?"

Nope, above the GPA median, and one point below the LSAT.Michigan1442 wrote:

I feel if you do a tailored "Why Penn" essay they'll wonder why you'd put in the effort to write an essay but not to write one as they directed. It indicates someone who doesn't play by the rules, which, while a cool tag for the resume, doesn't quite fit the legal profession. The Dean Fitts essay is pretty close, though, and may be the option you should take.blink wrote:Is the consensus to write an optional essay on one of the suggested prompts? The Dean Fitts prompt to me read exactly like a Why Penn essay but just giving a little structure. It asks verbatim: "What defines you? How do your goals and values match Penn Law’s core strengths?"
How else do you write a "Why X" essay if not explaining how the school's core strengths match what is important to you?
Just my two cents

I'm completely regretting not being a status checker freak earlier on this whole thing. I'm UR as of 12/3. Probably UR1? About the median for LSAT and GPA.

I looked at last year's thread and Penn admitted people last year on this day (second Wednesday of the year), so maybe we see some movement today?
