I made it for the second half of the reception. It was pretty nice. It was nice to hear current students and alumni asking about other options i had.
Any admitted students looking to do something after asd ends tomorrow?

Current 1L. If anyone wants to discuss the school from a student perspective, shoot me a PM.

Finished at about an hour ago, had a great time. It's moved past fordham in my preferences.

Current 1L, accepted in April last year off the waitlist and was able to negotiate for some scholarship money. I can answer some questions if anyone has any as the deadlines approach (at least I assume they are approaching shortly).

A highlight of Preview Day (for me, at least) was the 2L suggesting that we read TLS to prepare for law school.

They wouldn't budge on the April 1st deadline when I asked.uconjak wrote:has anyone heard about them getttin an extension for their scholly. I sent one in earlier. I want to push it off until april 15th

I'm sure they won't, they want to know exactly how much money they have to give to other candidates/waitlisters so they can redistribute before the 15thacs507 wrote:They wouldn't budge on the April 1st deadline when I asked.uconjak wrote:has anyone heard about them getttin an extension for their scholly. didn't hear that, sure I would've laughed.deuceindc wrote:A highlight of Preview Day (for me, at least) was the 2L suggesting that we read TLS to prepare for law school.
Definitely some sessions that just seemed to drag on. Granted that may have been because it started pretty early and lunch wasn't that big, by the end of the day I was dying from being hungry/tired

Hahaha. I definitely heard the TLS comment. It was in the student life panel. I had a great day overall but yeah I agree that it was a long day. Also, I'm a vegetarian and they kinda got annoyed when I asked if they had a vegetarian dish...I really don't think that's too much to ask. Anyways, other than that, had a great time. Will update with more details later.bgoodrick wrote:I'm sure they won't, they want to know exactly how much money they have to give to other candidates/waitlisters so they can redistribute before the 15thacs507 wrote:They wouldn't budge on the April 1st deadline when I asked.uconjak wrote:has anyone heard about them getttin an extension for their scholly. I had a really good time. I agree that some of the post-lunch segments dragged on, but i left feeling better about the school than i did going in (not that i thought poorly of the school). I could definitely see myself here for law school.

Reminds me of people who takes notes in a mock class. WTF?? No need to start an outline. It's a FAKE class.LSLovely173 wrote:I was sitting in the same row as him with a perfect viewing angle of the folks behind him. The glances were absolutely priceless!hopelessoptimist wrote:haha yep! TBF at one of my ASD's I was practically falling asleep and needed something to do, but I didn't want to TLS on my phone in front of a room full of people. I ended up just scribbling barely legible poetry, but it probably looked like I was taking notes.JayJones78 wrote: Reminds me of people who takes notes in a mock class. WTF?? Any chance for those who attended the ASW to offer some feedback on the day: thoughts about the students/Faculty/facilities/etc? Wish I could have went.
Thanks in advance for any comments!
