at the airport about to hop on a plane and checked my email to find i was admitted! believe i went complete on 12/18

Did you go UR or complete on the 18th? I went UR then, so I'm hoping that means news is on its way. And, if you don't mind me asking, what were your numbers?

I got the UR email on the 18th and my #'S are 170/3.84.

No money yet but I have a phone interview for a deans scholarship next Tuesday. If anyone has had one yet I'd love to get a heads up on what to expect

Whaaaaaa I didn't even know B had dean's scholarships. When did you get accepted/when did they talk to you about deans scholarship?

Just to be sure all info was correct I looked up the email. Its called a Deans Fellowship and it ranges between 25k per year to full tuition, however nothing is guaranteed (just the nomination at this stage now). It was mentioned during my acceptance phone call but I thought I might have dreamed it up in my excitement. I got an email confirmation a week or two later (midDec) to schedule an interview. I haven't found any info on TLS so maybe its new? I'll be glad to answer any questions about it after next Tuesday for others though

Edit: I looked online and Berkeley's website says the fellowship is between 10-25k/year but my email says theyre typically between 25-full so that's puzzling.

Checking in!! App submitted today after Dec LSAT.

171/4.0. Feeling OK regarding my chances at Penn but worried about late application, 167 October LSAT and 0 ties to Cali. They probably think I'm a flame haha but id love to go from nyc to Cali for obvious reasons

Couple questions for the experts around these parts...

1) How long does it take after submitting to get a received e-mail? And then how long until a complete email? Is there a status checker?

2) What type of timetable are we seeing for decisions? For me, should I be expecting an answer in March/April?

3) For those admitted, whats the status on merit aid? Do they provide it with your offer of admission? Or do you get a letter a month later? Do you need to apply afterwards for it?

4) For those admitted / denied, how were you informed of their decision? I'm still stranded from my apartment because of Sandy and USPS mail forwarding is spotty, at best.

It was mentioned in the call but not the admit email. About a week after the admit email I received another regarding the nomination. But this is not the only scholly at Berkeley- not only does their website list many more, but remember you can submit offers from other schools and Berkeley will consider matching them.

No. I did not hear about the fellowship until March. But I'm not sure when others heard about money. TLS and LSN chatter the year of my admission suggested that most of the movement money-wise took place around that time. Also, in my case, this was not a matching award.
