Where do you live? Mine was sent out 12/6 and I got it yesterday. It is pretty awesome, I especially enjoyed the weather tidbits, and the handwritten note was a nice touch.
I live in a major East Coast metropolitan area. Bah! Is it large or in a rigid box? My mailbox is pretty small.
Jealous of you all!
Weird, I also live near a major East Coast city. It's pretty huge though, they left it in the hallway of my apt rather than the mailbox b/c it wouldn't fit.

Has anyone been admitted to a JD/MA program yet? If so, were you admitted to the MA program at the same time as your JD admission?

Congrats on NW for free, that's a pretty special offer.
Submitted PT on 12/1, complete on 12/2. I can't ever remember wishing away the weekend for Monday morning...

Finally got the packet yesterday! Got home so late and exhausted that I barely looked at it, but the lengthy handwritten note by Dean Hoye was really a nice touch... All schools should be doing this to let their admitted students know that the schools have a legitimate interest in them

Also, I didn't get my packet today. I want swag, damnit!
Wow, yours was sent 12/02 and it still hasn't arrived? What delivery service are they using? It would probably get there faster by horseback.
Guess I'll have to wait much longer than I expected for my packet to arrive—mailed 12/06.

File under review today. RD non-PT. So how soon should I expect a decision? In 2 weeks?

Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Hi everyone,
I just got an acceptance email and link to the accepted student website
-- but it said they weren't sending the official letter until after I applied for scholaships and financial aid after January 1.
Anyone else in this situation? For people who are getting whole packets in the mail, do they include award letters as well? I think I was a pretty average applicant for Duke (1.73/3.7) so I'm thinking I may just not be a priority for $$$.
Still super excited (though as a mom-to-be married to a musician, the odds of being able to go without some kind of financial assistance are kind of slim....) But Duke secretly was my first choice (husband feels differently since it involves a move).

As I understand it, this is how Duke protects their yield numbers despite priority track guaranteeing decisions within ten days. Basically, you don't count as officially accepted for their numbers until you file the paperwork for financial aid. No one will get aid offers from Duke until the spring.abirdwell wrote:Hi everyone,

RD, PT, Went complete 12/8, UR 12/9 and again UR today (12/12). Anyone see any trends with the multiple UR status updates? (stats in profile)

A lot of people have had multiple UR dates before getting admitted. It's likely a good sign.

Been sitting at File Complete; Ready for Review since 11/30. How long did it take most people to go under review?

No no that's not what I meant! PT seems to have been a consistent 2-3 days after complete to UR. RD is more of an enigma it seems like, I wouldn't sweat it yet. Lots of non-PT RDs in the mix.ccmbr006 wrote:I didn't even know about PT before I submitted it. Faillll.
