+1 to pro-Michigan, anti-Virginia comments in the UVa. Regular Decision thread. Mostly because this thread is just part of an elaborate flame.

Re: UVa. Regular Decision
Hallo all,
I really want to go to UVA. And live in the Thomas Jefferson dorms (to be THAT close to where the Poe-man once lived would be amaaazing. But I'm not obsessed enough with Poe to go to U Maryland where he's buried
)
Anyhow, I submitted on 12/9 and went complete on 12/29 (wasn't expecting anything that late in December!)
Knock on wood!
Good luck to y'all and stay hopeful!

Doesn't NYU Law actually have a Poe room? After the demolition of the Edgar Allan Poe house?giddybiscuit wrote:Hallo all,

Also, re: your Chick-fil-A comment, I passed along a link about that to one of my (activist-y) gay friends and that particular link asked if it tasted good enough to justify support of anti-gay groups through it, and my friend's response was "it actually does taste that good". (I'm vegetarian, I wouldn't know.)

It does taste really good. Alternatively, though, there are great gay-friendly businesses like Home Depot that offer same-sex partner benefits. And employ Olympians to boot.applepiecrust wrote:Doesn't NYU Law actually have a Poe room? After the demolition of the Edgar Allan Poe house?giddybiscuit wrote:Hallo all,

As for the Poe thing, my dad (a grad of Maryland law) told me that story. I dunno about NYU, but even if they did, with my numbers I gave up on NYU a while ago. Plus, the lack of "campus" kind of bothered me.

Got the call about 20 minutes ago! I was waiting on a recommendation, but Dean Faulk says they were prepared to make a decision after reading the application.

Re: UVa. Regular Decision
I'm stuck at 10/22 File Complete Pending Review/Decision. My applications all seem to be stuck at these initial dates. Same situation at Duke, Vandy, NW, UVA. I'm beginning to think I did something seriously wrong on my applications, especially as everyone around my complete date on LSN updates to decisions. So much for the hope that early app's would = early decisions.DaveBear07 wrote:Still 9/20 here. Haha.

Those who've gotten calls-- were they from a UVA number, or did they show up as "unknown" on your caller ID?
