Mornin, Tonio. Hopefully today is the day you get your admittance and I (and txadv11) get some scholarship money.
You def not going to STCL if you don't get a scholarship? or you just gonna have to think long and hard about it
I know you directed this question to Jacketman, but if I can answer this for myself: I have 40% tution @ Tulsa, 66% @ OKC, 75% @ Ohio Northern, 33% @ Wesleyan, hell even those expensive New York schools gave me 10K.... Plus UALR gave me in-state tuition, and 2K/yr making tuition like 4500/semester. I'd be stupid not to take one of those offers, and yet, I still anxiously await hearing from STCL for even 2K....

I've been debating whether or not to make that statement

I'm not sure yet, but it would be hard to justify $27k/yr in tuition if I can go somewhere else (albeit a much less desirable option) for free.
Edit: Of course, this is only because of my fairly unique situation in regards to the Hazlewood Exemption at TSU. If I didn't have that, I'd probably go to STCL even without a scholarship.

Ive said plenty of things on this thread im not holding myself too. like 4 fridays ago i said if i didnt hear back by friday i was done with them. And look at me now wooooo. Im done kiddin myself if they left me ill prolly go. What hurts the most is when people post their numbers and say "i got in" and i have higher numbers than them and i just wonder WTH but i guess its all due to this bogus random thing

By the way, I don't know a ton about the military's financing...but doesn't the post 9/11 G.I. bill offer something for private schools?

Yeah, but I used up all my G.I. Bill for my undergrad, so I have super minimal debt from there.

The call.. Bum bum bum!
I wish i knew what secrets that one kid whispered to the admissions guy to get him to tell him he had a scholarship or any real info for that matter. I mean they are gettin nicer over there but same song and dance "keep waiting" "we working round clock" "acceptances are going out every second" and the beat goes on

yes....my gpa sucks (awful year and a half at the beginning) but i'm hoping my LSAT is enough to get me in, as well as the fact i've worked ~25 hours a week throughout most of my education. I'm also hispanic, though not a URM (Colombian).
God i hope i get in, lol. Because i'm pretty sure there is no way i'm getting in to UofH.

It'd be funny if some of us ended up in the same classes and talked to each other everyday but never realized we were all friends on here!
I'm really hoping the ones who are waiting on acceptances hear back today!!

For scholarship? You'll get the email. Your status checker will just say "scholarship info sent."

After I make up my mind, I'll make a STCL Class of 2014 group, unless you guys think that would be weird, or we already have one?

Do it! All the cool kids are. Besides, law is all about networking. Plus it's a great way to form study groups. And we can share everything we find out from 2Ls and 3Ls about which professors suck.
