The Dean's blog said decisions would be sent this week, but I've seen only a handful...do you think there will be more today/tomorrow??

Stanford only really accepts a handful of people, unlike other schools, so there won't likely be a huge wave. I think last year, the first day of acceptances was the biggest, and this year on the first day there was only like 5 people ITT so.

Since they came back from break (Jan 3) I've only seen about 3 admits...is this accurate? if so, would these 3 comprise the "handful" allotment for this week? lol sorry i want Stanford badly!!!

FWIW, in last year's thread, there were usually not more than a few each week, if that. Stanford moves incredibly slowly in its decision process.

Stanford is awesome! I enjoyed the place, it's nothing like I expected. It is definitely a very very pleasant place to be. Waiting to see how Berkeley compares tomorrow.

They take transcript and additional LOR via LSAC only. You can submit up to 4 LORs so you can just go ahead and send an additional one if you want if you haven't used up that quota.

Philly, do you think there any reason not to submit extra LORs if you have them? I have a couple in the bag and have already submitted two. However, the two I already submitted were stellar, and I expect the other two are either great or stellar, so I don't see how much good they would do me. But I feel like I should update Stanford somehow in light of that blog post.

She told me that if I can secure a new LOR that's written by my new grad professors that may help to show my continuing academic excellence. If you have another LOR that is good but written about/around the same period of your studies it may not adds a whole lot. I also have another LOR from UG professor but I will not send that one. I am going to see if I can get one of my current professors to write me a new one. Since I already sent three, I am not sure if I will do this before WL ... but you are right, I feel like the blog post is urging us to do so.

I think it is new. IIRC, the main SLS one used to include info on admissions, but I think they have broken off and gotten their own. This may not be correct, though.
