Dear UF,

Please speed your decesion process up. FSU sent me the packet today, and I must decide before April 1st. I already plan on withdrawing from UM, for tally, but I would MUCH rather stay here in Gainesville and avoid having to pack my bags and move. Plus, I love Panda Express at the Reitz Union too much to leave.

I spoke to Directer of Admissions...Castro...and she said this "No decision reached" is normal for them...so they are used to having a bunch of ppl w/this status. She said we will def hear back before April. I added a new LOR to my file recently, but she said Hold files are only reviewed instantly if there's a change in GPA or LSAT score. She also said that the Hold files are reviewed again before a final decision is made.

As far as waitlist, she said that its not ranked. An applicant that drops from the class is replaced by a waitlist person with the same numbers.

I hate to admit it but I think the majority of us will have a final decision closer to April. She told me the application deadline is March 15...seems like they are saving seats for late applicants w/awesome numbers.

Ughhh I'm such an impatient person! lol

Decision letter mailed yesterday. I've never been to Florida but I want to do tax law (undergrad and grad degrees in tax). I think I got in, I just hope it comes with a good scholly cause I don't know if I'd pay sticker.

Decision mailed today after sitting at "review complete, no decision" since 11/30. I'm hoping for good news!!!! Anyone who went letter issued want to exchange stats via PM so we can start speculating???

I think it was straight decision but this was the first time I checked my status. I applied on 10 Jan.

My status before said reviewed but no decision reached and today it changed to decision letter mailed - 3.46/166
I hate when schools don't give you the decision in email or status checker! I can't wait that long for snail mail!

I have v. similar numbers as you and have been "no decision" since November. Hopefully, you get through faster than I did. Its been a long few months. haha.

Wouldn't pay $16000 a year? UF isn't too generous, so good luck.

I would assume that since they've never been to Florida (if I'm reading that right), that the poster isn't a resident and would be paying upwards 30/k in tuition. UF definitely isn't worth it without a scholarship if you're out of state I would imagine.

Yeah but the person will get at least 8k most likely, and 22k isn't bad at all for a school like Florida. And the next year you would be able to get residency, and then you’re set for life. Just like that..

For residency, it says you have to have clear intent on staying in Florida after graduation. How do they gauge that? Do they even hold you to it?

Yea, completely my fault...I submitted all my aps by Mid-November, held off on UF because I'm an undergrad here and figured i seen enough of Gainesville...only about two weeks ago i had a change of heart and submitted the app. In at UM and FSU, definitely dropping UM. Would like to get into UF and compare both FSU and UF' money offers.
