Just to clarify, I meant that I hoped a lurker didn't see that having a low lsat and getting dinged meant they were "simple".
That's all

But it depends. If the lurker had an LSAT below 165 and a gpa below 3.5 and is not URM, then he really had no chance and was wasting his/her application fee. There are people with truly shitty numbers who apply anyway thinking that their personal statements will make them stand out.fivestarfolds wrote:Just to clarify, I meant that I hoped a lurker didn't see that having a low lsat and getting dinged meant they were "simple".

Wait, so did we ever get any confirmation of a ding wave, or is the only source this "PourMeTea" character? Do we even know who this is? I'm calling troll.

ASWs are here. I don't know about the other info.Ryan11212 wrote:Hey y'all, I know this probably isn't the place to post this question, but seeing as this is such an active thread, I figured someone here might know the answer.
Is there like a compendium anywhere with important dates for the T14 (ASWs, deposit and/or commitment deadlines, etc)? I know all this info is available, but it's a little tiring scouring the internet/my emails trying to plan the next couple months.

Looks like someone did report a ding yesterday .. decision dated 3/21. So congrats to everyone who survived the "wave"!potterdam wrote:Nothing on LSN, I call hoax.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Wait, so did we ever get any confirmation of a ding wave, or is the only source this "PourMeTea" character? Whoa, a 177/3.5 too. If it wasn't a mistake with decision dates, that's pretty significant.peaches9848 wrote:Looks like someone did report a ding yesterday .. decision dated 3/21. I think it is legit. His profile is fairly detailed and he posted that he got rejected from Penn on 3/20. Looking at the Penn thread a batch of rejections did go out on that day.Quest4Knowledge wrote:Whoa, a 177/3.5 too. Guys if law school just doesn't work out, this thread is evidence that we can all have amazingly successful careers as private investigators or clairvoyants.

eta: They also reported a JS1 on March 17th after a February LSAT take though. Another very quick turnaround if it's true.

+1 my exact point yesterday, not everyone uses these forums or resources so activity we find out about may not be the full picture herePourMeTea wrote:TLS is most definitely not representative of the entire picture. I personally know a bunch of sub-165 applicants here that have not even heard of TLS much less LSNNoDayButToday wrote:I wonder if Harvard has waves of acceptances and rejections every single week, but people either don't post or aren't on TLS. I didn't apply to Yale, but there's a blog post in which Asha talks about rumors and speculation on online forums and she specially says they're admitting people every week, even though the online picture (which she emphasizes is NOT representative) doesn't capture it.

Out of the 5000 or so apps that Harvard gets, I wonder how many of them are auto rejects, people who clearly did not have the numbers/softs and only applied because "why not?" I wonder what percentage of apps are actually "serious" candidates.dreamerchic19 wrote:+1 my exact point yesterday, not everyone uses these forums or resources so activity we find out about may not be the full picture herePourMeTea wrote:TLS is most definitely not representative of the entire picture. I wonder this too. Also, what numbers are considered "too low" or "auto-rejects," if there is a such thing? I presume a couple thousand, if not more, applicants have been rejected as of this point in the process?

Since the Sunday JS2 wave on 3/9, there has also been one acceptance on LSN last Firday (3/14) http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Seethru. Most likely the acceptances at this point of the cycle are only trickling to so few applicants every week that we on TLS may not know about them.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
