Re: Minnesota 2010!
Can someone tell me if I will receive an email about the waitilist or snail mail? Also if anyone could offer me some insight about the waitlist I would really appreciate it? Minnesota is a huge reach for me so I am pretty excited not to be an auto-reject.

Re: Minnesota 2010!
I expect I'll among those to hear today. I've been under review since December, so I don't know what more they'd have to think about. On tab alert...

Email. It basically says we can select from the WL at any time, it's not ranked, and don't send us anything unless you have something new to say...GTLAWSCHOOL wrote:Can someone tell me if I will receive an email about the waitilist or snail mail? Yield protection, as I understand it, doesn't work that way.pertristis wrote:Just received a rejection. 177/3.42. I smell YP.
They would have waitlisted you, and then waited for you to show commitment to interest in the school before moving you to accepted. Rejecting doesn't seem to make sense for yield protection.

Re: Minnesota 2010!
BTW, I had a decision made a bit earlier today, but my primary e-mail doesn't work anymore - and they haven't sent anything to my secondary e-mail.
However, if others' numbers are anything to go off of...well...ya.

Then, I'm just completely baffled. I'll leave it that way.Great Satchmo wrote:Yield protection, as I understand it, doesn't work that way.pertristis wrote:Just received a rejection. 177/3.42. I smell YP.

Myself as well (in regard to your outcome). Obviously your numbers are good. Anyhow, good luck with the rest of your cycle and/or decisions.pertristis wrote:Then, I'm just completely baffled. Did you write, "I hate communist farmers," or "Joe Mauer is a bitch, go Chicago White Sox" in your personal statement?
I look at your numbers, and then I look at mine ... at then back and your numbers, and then back at mine. I'm not you, but your rejection could definitely be mine soon ...

I imagine the rejection followed more along the lines of: Oh look, the poor fool is from near KC. He must be a Royals fan. What a fool.FunkyJD wrote:pertristis wrote:Just received a rejection. 177/3.42. I smell YP.![]()

Re: Minnesota 2010!
Looks like I got left out of this wave. Seeing as how they were mostly rejections or waitlists, maybe I should be glad. I do think I would have heard something after three months. I'm a little confused.

They do both when you're that unlikely to attend.pertristis wrote:Then, I'm just completely baffled. I'll leave it that way.Great Satchmo wrote:Yield protection, as I understand it, doesn't work that way.pertristis wrote:Just received a rejection. 177/3.42. I smell YP.

Re: Minnesota 2010!
LSN shows the Mar 12th decisions were all rej's and WL's, which doesn't bode well for me...

I just withdrew via email. I hope they pass on my renewable $30k scholarship to some fellow TLSer's.
