So, I'm still Pending review/decision since 11/2. Is there any way this is not a bad sign? WL/reject for sure? Out-of-state 168/3.92

I'm going to say this again, even though I said it not that long ago. Last year, I went complete 11/11, and I didn't get accepted until 1/29. I was freaking out for a long time, but I'm a UVA 1L now and it all worked out for me. Sometimes it takes a while, especially for people who applied RD. Most of the people who've heard back by now applied ED.

People need to be really patient, especially in the case of splitters. Usually the adcomms need to look at their yield and determine how the splitter's low number will affect their overall numbers. Since you're a reverse splitter (very high GPA but low LSAT) it's likely that they're waiting to make sure they have enough enrollment of 170+ LSATs to offset you before admitting you.

If that's the case, the wait is possibly a good thing. It's fast and easy to WL or reject someone, if they're still considering you it means they haven't done those things yet for a reason. They might want to take you but just need to see how more of the cycle plays out first. Hell, with a GPA that high they'll probably be looking for a way to admit you for as long as they can before they bump you. It's not always bad to have to wait.

I wouldn't worry too much. You're very close to being my number twin (I'm a 168, 4.0, Out of State) and I was Pending Review/Decision since 10/19, and just got accepted yesterday. I was freaking that I was WL at best, and now I have a UVA acceptance! So like Vanwinkle said, be patient
