Got a complete email. Still no JR1. The "from" line being Harvard Admissions + it not being a JR1 almost caused me to cry at work.

I also just got the complete email. For a second I thought it was a rejection email.

Did most people that got a JR1 e-mail so far get it before their complete e-mail or after? I submitted 11/3, went under review 11/10, just got my complete e-mail 11/19 but haven't gotten a JR1 e-mail.

+1 on being under review since 11/09 and complete email today. No JR1, sigh. I'm still holding my breath though.

This thread depresses me for this very reason. I've already conceded and am getting myself excited about other schools.

Just got my complete email, but no JR1 yet. I went under review on 11/10 like a lot of people.
I don't want to be an ass, and I know I haven't posted much here, but my numbers are 180/3.78. Who knows if I'll get admitted, but I feel like I am likely to get a JR1.

Eh I don't see it as being an ass. If anything it gives me hope that they just haven't gotten to us yet.

keep hoping, i got a JR1 with a lower LSAT (er, obviously) and an LSAC 3.79, i'd be shocked if you didn't hear from him as well.

I just called their admissions office and the woman told me that the interviews come in no particular order, i.e. we may still get interviews and that a complete status does not necessarily mean that it includes an interview... Also, it seems like only people GPAs >75% and LSATS within the 25-75% range have gotten interviews. But they do accept people with scores outside these ranges, so we shouldn't lose all hope...

I think you people need to relax. Whether the JR1 comes before or after completion probably just depends on what part of the admissions cycle we are in. Those who sent their materials in September and early October were way ahead of the game, making it very easy to schedule JR1s as soon as the application was ready for completion. Now, with much more paper on adcomms desks, there's probably a slight backlog compared to October. JR is only one man.

You just made me feel a lot better grrrstick...
Congrats on the 180 by the way... I heard about your score in Sept but never tracked you down on here to congratulate you before now. Awesome result.

What is the purpose of the JR1/JR2/etc.? Do/have people who attended Harvard for undergrad get/gotten the calls?

What do you mean what is the purpose? The JR1 is an
interview...
The JR2 is just your acceptance notification call.
Pretty sure they don't admit anyone without a JR1 first.

Guys, guys getting a complete email without a JR1 DOES NOT mean you won't get one... I got a complete email and no JR1 earlier, with people who went complete after me getting there JR1 emails at the same time... then my JR1 email came a several days later. So yeah, there is no specific order for these things.

+1. The complete email doesn't mean anything.
No one has been accepted yet. We are all still in the same boat. It is
way too early for anyone to give up hope, though if you need to pretend to give up hope for the sake of your sanity, I kind of get that.

Have any of you guys gotten application complete emails from Harvard after you already had an interview? What does this mean? Are applications only complete once you have an interview, or what does this mean? thanks!
