Sheesh, I'm jealous lol. I'm complete but not UR. I didn't do the video interview though, think my application got buried somewhere for awhile because I ended up emailing them sometime after the designated amount of days to expect to wait before going complete after interviewing and never got a response but went complete soon after, no movement since.

I wonder if a better indicator would be how long it normally takes for people to get a decision after going UR...
I don't think Northwestern has a "UR" stage on the status checker? It basically just goes complete with a line at the top of the status checker saying something like "your application is complete and under review"
Omg, this is totally true. As someone who checks status checkers all the time (though I've stopped checking on weekends #progress), I can't believe I forgot about this.

In that case, the better indicator would probably be how long it normally takes to go from complete/"UR" -> decision

if NU is a school you'd like to go to, it's never too late (unless it's past the app deadline)

If you check the decision letter delivery system, the date you went complete changes on there. I did my interview and 5 days later it said "application complete as of 12/14." Now on the system it says "complete as of 1/19", but the status checker is the same.

Yeah true! I applied early to many schools and I've heard back from them all but I am starting to regret not having applied to NU. I'm 25<LSAT<50 and >75th gpa so I don't feel like I have competitive numbers. But I've recently taken an interest to working in Chicago, so I'm feeling like NU should've been on my list! I was thinking at this point the odds are against me

It'd be cool if they gave more people what they want today.

I felt the same... if they watched my practice interviews they would think I'm the most boring person ever... couldn't think of a good movie to talk about and my person dead/alive is Sandra Day O'Connor... as if they hadn't heard that 1000x. I truly do want to meet her from everything I've read about her soooooooo whatever.

For the scholarship & grant supplemental application form, what are y'all doing for the "Apart from your GPA and LSAT score, please assess your position for merit aid." part? What else can you say other than I merit aid because I am poor?

I ended up doing it and I think it went really well, actually. It pays to have a few stories in your head to be ready. But ultimately, it's not something you can prepare for, because they have a vast question bank. I just took a breath and hit "next question."

I found the real questions to be a bit more relatable than the practice ones. My first practice Q was "tell me about your most recent dream" which freaked me out because I rarely remember my dreams lol.

I'm struggling with this myself. Also, that merit aid application is massive

I feel so worried that I did not communicate my interest enough.
I think this has been asked: I flew from Miami to Chicago to interview in person, do you think this communicates interest enough to not warrant a why NU? I have a 167/3.96 URM and am still in the dark.

That's even better than a "why NU". You'll be fine.

I got mine last week, and I got in 12/20. I mean they were probably behind because of the holidays, but also you may have to wait for a bit.

I think yesterday was the "auto-admit" wave. Like, the guys you know who were going to get in. I'd expect at least one more wave before expecting the waitlist
I'm not sure about that.

I got in with LSAT>25 and GPA>75, which is a reasonable admit but not a lock. Also, I have zero years of work experience (90% of the class has 1+yr. of WE).

Regardless, ya'll should keep your hopes up. Many more students are going to get admitted in the coming weeks/months.
I 2nd this. LSAT<25 and GPA>75. 2 years W/O tho.

There has to be more movement soon. Wishing you all the best!

I got in ED when they released mid-Dec, my guess is that they were waiting for the second round of acceptances to start sending them out

I finally did the interview - jumbled one of the questions, but hope the rest of it came across well. I was sincere, honest and frank.

My bet would be tomorrow, their waves seemed to be pretty evenly about a week apart at first last year.
