I personally don't think it would hurt to send one! Not that UVA and Stanford are the same school, but Dean Faye personally told me at a LAWS event that it could be helpful to send a Why Stanford essay if applicants don't hear by January, when applicants first hear of acceptances. I don't see why the same wouldn't be true for UVA

I think I'm under UR2! Date changed from 11/22 to 11/28. No contact for an interview yet. Is this a good or bad sign, or no sign at all?

Is anyone in need of a roommate? Considering getting a lease at Jeffersonian or Ivy, starting over the summer.

Is that 20k/year?
Sorry for just now responding to this (I was pretty much catatonic over the break), but yes - it is 20k/yr.

So the What to Expect When You're Expecting thread seems a little dated, at least regarding UVA. It's from c/o 2017 to be fair... But I was wondering if anyone could provide some details on what to expect from the status checker now.

I've been UR since 9/20. Is this a sign that I'm getting dinged? :(

Is there a "UVA students taking questions" thread? I'm curious how many law students lease at Cavalier Crossing... the apartments seem pretty nice and are also pretty inexpensive

Two weeks since interview. This is a brutal wait. I was hoping to find out within a week or so

Is it abnormal/bad to go UR2 before being interviewed? I was looking through the thread and most people seem to say they went UR2 AFTER interviewing...

Same, happened to me today. I don't think anybody really has any idea, so no need to worry about it.

Happened to me a couple days ago.
Took about a week for me to go UR2 so MAYBE it'll take about a week for them to send me an interview request... I hope...

So you went UR 3 times THEN got an interview request? I guess that makes me feel a little better. As long as it doesn't appear to be a sign that I'm on my way to being dinged...

Went past the one month mark (been UR since 10/28)... UVA playing hard to get and its working. After researching more, it's definitely become my #1 choice (with $$$ hopefully). Time to write up a Why UVA.
