10 weeks of silence.

I've been hearing more and more about Texas, Vandy, UCLA aggressively attempting to move into the T14 ranks, I suppose forming the T17... Any reason to pay sticker or close to it at one of these schools?

I think you could make an argument for that if you desperately want a big law job in Texas, the Deep South, or LA. Presumably if you are considering one of those schools at sticker, you are not also considering a top 10 school at sticker. And one of those schools will place better in one of those specific geographic areas then say Cornell or Georgetown.

Read the language carefully on the Vandy website under the heading "Selection Process." It states that they take a lot of time reviewing apps and comparing those submitted at different points in time throughout the process despite having rolling admissions. It states that "applicants who take the Dec. or Feb. LSAT are not disadvantaged." Since April 1 was the final day to submit apps, they are likely looking at late submissions from those who took the Feb. LSAT. They are also likely tweaking their entering class acceptances so they have a diverse well rounded class made up of students from all over the country. Check out the profile of the Class of 2018 on the website to get an idea. Expect that more acceptances and rejections will be sent out in the upcoming weeks. Sometimes people don't get off the WL until August. That is how they roll.

Get out of here with your logic, patience, and reason. It has no place alongside my irrational belief that every law school is a dick for not getting back to me already.

The rational side of me agrees with the original post. The irrational side is screaming "yes" to the dick statement.

Those sections have been blank since my app went complete. I don't think it means much of anything.

It is pretty clear that they are releasing offers in waves, chronologically. I'm going to guess that at this point if you have been under review since the latest round (i.e. before 2/17), you're probably not getting in (myself included). Which isn't cool on Vanderbilt's part. We're not worth even rejecting in a timely manner? lol Thanks Vandy, thanks.

I'd imagine after the first seat deposit date, which I believe is April 20. The second deposit isn't due until June 15
