Does Harvard reject people on the waitlist throughout the summer, or do they wait to reject everyone until the class in finalized?

They have done both before. There is still a wave of JS1 to come.

Did you notice that HLS yield last year seemed off compared to the previous year? The 509 reports somewhat equal class size for a higher number of admission offers in last cycle. I wonder if they are being more protective of their yield this cycle because of that.

I am thinking they will add at least 50 more people to the group.
There should be a wave of JS2 by June 15.

Some sites suggest writing a brief update every 4-5 weeks (assuming you have one)...is that overkill at H?

Previous cycles threads. There is one more JS2 wave by June 15. And trickle acceptances and rejections throughout the summer.

Any thoughts on another JS1 wave?

Yeah I meant Js1, JS1b... In the next couple of weeks leading to a wave of JS2 by June 15.
Good luck everyone!

I hope you're right, but I'm skeptical about drawing analogies to previous cycles. What worries me is the JS1 scheduler going down and the reported size of the FB group.

Can anyone confirm if the scheduler is back up?

It's still down. But they still haven't removed a whole bunch of people who are committed elsewhere from the Facebook group, so the 595 count includes them (as well as admissions staff, current students, etc)!

Just wanted to pop in and remind everyone not to lose hope. Harvard admits people throughout the summer and even into August (I wasn't interviewed until the last few days in July). Keep chugging, keep writing letters of continued interest-- it will pay off!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
