Yeah, alright, you guys win. I am just saddened by the fact that my Command + R buttons are about to fall off from overuse.LawBron James wrote:9/22 man, 9 friggin 22.theramblingfool wrote:That's cute, guys. 10/10 here.
Translation A: Go do something to take your mind off the decision letter. It will go out of its way to notify within an hour of existing, go kill some time.
Translation B: Refresh NOW. AND AGAIN. There's 60 whole minutes that will be wasted if you don't!
Super accurate. So of course I'm doing both.

And as the admissions office closed, the frustrated groans of the DL-Nevers resounded in a cacophony of angst.
Another day, friends.

At this point I think Northwestern just wants me to withdraw. I won't let you win Northwestern!

Does anyone know if those without a decision thus far should expect a ding/WL?

I mean I don't think there's any way to tell. My pessimistic side doesn't think it looks good for me personally, but I don't think it's fair to say everybody who hasn't heard back yet is a ding/WL.bholster wrote:Does anyone know if those without a decision thus far should expect a ding/WL?

Is it unlikely to have 2 decision days in row? I'm not super banking on an admit but it'd still be really nice to know....

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
Is anyone here applying AJD? Are they really going to wait until next month to let us know? I have to disagree with their AJD deadline considering you start so early. I think you should have to have your app in by Dec 1 with the ED'ers. I hope they let us know soon -- it can't be that many of us.
But I guess I should exercise more patience considering how my cycle is going. Ok....venting is over.

Yeah, 1.5 months or so is an incredible turnaround time to ask for people, especially when most will have other offers to consider. You'd have to realize you're in, get financial aid, choose it over your other options, move to Chicago, and start classes in less than two months. You'd think that'd be brutal on yield, which would require a lot of wait list movement, which would be even tougher because the window would be even smaller.DiniMae wrote:Is anyone here applying AJD? Anyone care to speculate why it takes so long for some AdComs to return decisions or even indicate movement (i.e. ~one month to go complete at Cornell? Really?) whereas others seem to have much speedier turnarounds?Gray wrote:ugh probably not likely. but...penguino wrote:Is it unlikely to have 2 decision days in row? My question is why would you give a deadline when you're not going to follow it?Gray wrote:ugh probably not likely. but...penguino wrote:Is it unlikely to have 2 decision days in row? I'm not super banking on an admit but it'd still be really nice to know....

I'm sure they wouldn't be too lenient with someone, say, missing their application deadline.
