The interviewer had clearly read my PS/CV and referred to specific events that I wrote in my PS and asked me to elaborate more fully. So for example, for job experience x, the question was 'what was your role at x' etc.

I don't think I'm an interesting applicant though; actually, I'd say I'm very average.

musedreverie wrote:Had my JS1! The interviewer (who wasn't JS nor DE) was very friendly, and the general interview itself was very relaxed, friendly and actually really fun! The questions were mainly from my PS and resume as everyone else said. (Except the interviewer asked the question of 'why law now?' because I had some time gap between undergrad and my application to law school.)

Further, as everyone else said, the interviewer told me that I might not be hearing from HLS for quite a while. I think this is a disclaimer sort of thing that goes out to everyone they interview!

I really enjoyed the interview a lot, so much so that whatever the result, I now have a very fond impression of the school. (Doesn't necessarily mean I did well in the interview-with the benefit of hindsight, not so sure if I answered well, or even coherently to the questions.)

I hope the wave of JS1 goes out today/tomorrow! Good luck to everyone :D

Edit: the interview lasted nearly 18 minutes.

Invites have tended to go out on Mondays and Fridays this cycle, it seems. I expect invites will probably go out tomorrow, but they might wait until Monday. Don't worry too much! :D

Congrats to all the JS1s so far!

The spreadsheet shows roughly 10 days from submit -> complete; has that been the experience of those who submitted in November?

The spots are all still there. Y'all might have to wait until Monday, although I think it's about this time of the year that the staff starts hanging out in the office later.

Don't think so based on this: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=221178

Really enjoyed my interview! Sold me on H even more (if that's even possible...). Interviewer was very friendly and engaging, felt like a conversation and the time went by super quickly. Good luck to everyone's upcoming JS1s!

I personally never had an UR1. Just the "Application Complete" status.

What's TLS wisdom on interviewer you're assigned? Does having JS signify anything, or is it arbitrary?

It seems arbitrary, although no one's put together data to support that.

According to JS's admissions blog, completely random:
As with the reading process, interviews are randomly assigned to a member of the admissions team. I gather there is a fair amount of “hypothesizing” out there about this point, so let me say it again. Interviewer assignment is random. We do this for the same reason we randomize file reads—it helps every interviewer have a better sense of the full pool.
