Complete Dec 10 according to the email. (submitted 12/1.) I haven't been obsessively checking the status so I don't know when any UR dates were.koalacity wrote:Phew, this is a relief. From the looks of LSN, most people who applied in September or October found out 1/23/13. I believe the year before that decisions went out earlier. What are everyone's predictions for this year's first big batch

I think the year before that (2012) was before they had this big of an interview process. So if last year (2013, the first year with the interview process) is any indicator of this year, I suspect next weekend (1/25/14) or later.HarvardHopeful wrote:From the looks of LSN, most people who applied in September or October found out 1/23/13. How personal am I supposed to get for the "if you could go back in time and change one thing" question during the interview? Is it enough to say I wish I had taken Chinese instead of French in high school or do I have to say something like, I wish I hadn't killed that man accidentally? (both examples are not real, of course)

On Application Complete since 12/23/13. Ugh, this is getting irritating.

This. My first thought when they asked was: plenty of things we're definitely not going to bring up during this conversation... I ended up going with something relating to my academic history, and didn't get into anything personal.tls2175 wrote:How personal am I supposed to get for the "if you could go back in time and change one thing" question during the interview? (also, the question was asked as "If you could name your biggest regret, what would it be?" during my interview).

Mine was something like "if you could re-do one thing" so I went with a really great experience that I had and basically said that I would make it even better (with some specific things I would have changed) knowing what I know now. I think it's really important to stay positive in a question like this fwiw

I couldn't have thought of such a positive framework for that answer. Thanks!lastsamurai wrote:Mine was something like "if you could re-do one thing" so I went with a really great experience that I had and basically said that I would make it even better (with some specific things I would have changed) knowing what I know now. Doesn't really work if they ask the "regret" question though.Balthy wrote:I couldn't have thought of such a positive framework for that answer. I am with you there. I chose this one to be ambiguous and somewhat anonymous and nondescript, but now I wish I had been way more creative.chneyo wrote:I'll say I wish I would've chosen a different TLS user name. I'm terrible at picking user names, especially because I wanted something completely unconnected to the rest of my online presence.lawschool22 wrote:I am with you there. I was watching Talladega Nights when I signed up. Figured I'd add the avatar to complete the package.lastsamurai wrote:Completely agree...I wanted something nondescript and had just talked to a friend about the movie the last samurai.midwest17 wrote:I'm terrible at picking user names, especially because I wanted something completely unconnected to the rest of my online presence.lawschool22 wrote:I am with you there. Why is the UChi admissions twitter account talking about lunch with David Axelrod? Less lunch, more application review.

How can you be so sure David Axelrod is not doing one of the admission interviews?Ricky-Bobby wrote:Why is the UChi admissions twitter account talking about lunch with David Axelrod? Less lunch, more application review.
