What?! Seriously?
Did no one else see this? February... this is going to be a long wait for us all...
Yea. They had one slot next week and then no more until February.

Good luck, all the same. At least you've time to prepare

for those who got interview invite, do you think this is a YP thing? or just Cornell got too many qualified applicants that all of a sudden they can't decide by just looking at stats?

^^read back a few pages, and you'll find this post from Lavitz

They did the same thing last year, but a little later-- in February. They offered the interview to people with high numbers and included the same "we'll make a decision within one week" line.

I'm above 75th GPA but only 1 point above the 75th LSAT - is that YP worthy?

I hope not. Their LSAT 75th dropped last year, and it would be silly to start YPing anyone 2-3 points above their median. I'd imagine Cornell is more likely to YP HYS and maybe upper CCNish applicants, similar to how Penn is more likely to YP HYS applicants.

Would visiting Cornell help with my application in any way?

Ok, so verifying since 12/3 is frustrating but not totally abnormal.

Any of you who received an interview invite thinking about withdrawing their app instead of interviewing? I don't think I would choose Cornell if they offered $$ over other schools who might offer $$, but curious if i'm the only one thinking about doing this...

I've decided not to withdraw any of my apps until I have the full picture. Just seems stupid to waste the application fee. Although this extra interview hurdle definitely had me thinking about it, but I think that's probably exactly what they were hoping to do

I got the sense that withdrawing is what they were hoping for as well. You're probably right that getting the full picture is best. I'm going to think about it for a few more days before making any decisions
