Not so sure decisions are coming tomorrow after all. These are the tweets from last year:





The first tweet went out on Monday the 9th and decisions didn't come until Friday the 13th. The tweet from last Friday just said they were working on the batch, so it sounds like this year's equivalent of last year's 1/9 tweet. So we could be waiting until later in the week, although I hope they surprise me and get it done tomorrow.

Ugh and the most imp thing is that it was a Monday the 9th so they worked Tuesday through Friday and still only got calls out on Friday... This = not cool. I will say though that last year the Monday tweet came out in early January so waiting a few days to the 13th wasn't a big deal. But now that we are in the 20s of January they should have had enough time to be ready. Unless interviews really slowed down the process...

Also the "will not be going out today" in our cycle's tweet makes no sense if they aren't going out the next work day.... Imo

Yeah, I'm not sure how to interpret that. I'd like to think it means they were finishing up and just didn't have time to contact applicants, but last year they specifically mentioned that they had finalized the decisions.

All I'm saying is that people shouldn't be surprised if it's not tomorrow. Going through last year's thread, every single day that week started off with people predicting "TODAY'S THE DAY" and then being majorly disappointed at the end.

Obviously, I still hope it's tomorrow anyway

Although I hope this doesn't mean that we'll have to wait even longer for the first batch of RD admits

On the contrary, I believe this is a good sign. It means they've made enough progress on this batch that they are moving on to conducting more interviews in the near future. I feel like they just want this group of decisions out since they're already behind, and they would've wanted an interview pause if they were struggling to get us all finalized.

Also, congrats Venus! Go kill it.

Yep. That certainly makes the most sense to me. Congrats and good luck to new interviewees, and good luck to all applicants waiting for that first round of RD decisions!

Hopefully some RD decisions come out today for those of that that have been UR since like forever!! Good luck everyone.. here's hoping to some love from Chicago to all of us!

Thanks guys! I'm super excited! My application was complete at the end of September, and went under review in early November. Good luck to those of you already expecting decisions!
