Dunno. My numbers were there and I have decent softs. I guess they just hated my PS. Kind or ironic because on my acceptance letter to GULC the dean made it a point to say that he liked what I said in my statement haha. Writing a LOCI, will hopefully get off that dang list soon enough.

Duke's site says ED admits who submit a request for need based aid automatically get 15k - does that mean you don't even need to qualify for anything? I'm thinking about hopping in for the 2nd ED round.

I emailed them asking about this specifically and received this response: "You would receive the ED grant by virtue of being accepted through ED and then applying for need-based scholarship funds."

Darn. I applied in Sept RD and still NOTHING - File under review. I'm probably the only TLS user who doesn't track her status changes with precision. I know it changed a couple of time and the most recent was 12/6/2012. 168 3.92. Should I start worrying?

Did you had any updates since you've been UR? I've been UR since the end of december as well but I noticed it just changed to Dec 6th. I don't know what to make of that.

So your profile says you ED'd at two places? Huh?

I'm pretty sure he ED'd to UVA first, had a decision made which releases him from the binding contract, and at that point, was able to ED to Duke.

It certainly was not concurrently done.

Correct, I was waitlisted at UVA and then submited to Duke. Just got back from Durham and can't wait to finally move in!

They sent out an email inviting certain applicants based primarily on numbers. It is somewhat random, however, since some people with high numbers didn't get invites.

Then, before you send in your application, you have to activate the priority track for yourself by using a link provided in the email.
